Hello all. I've been gone for a while. It looks like i'lll be around a bit more often, for a couple reasons.

I got a DUI. I hit a pole. Totaled my car. Got a concussion. You know, the usual.

So, i'll be avoiding going out and not really be able to go anywhere considering the fact that i live in the middle of nowhere.

Consequently, i could very possibly lose my job that is 40 miles away from my home with no way to get there. I could possibly transfer to a closer location, but there are a lot of factors, and i'll just have to see what happens. With no job, i'll undoubtedly be online more often. Given that i steal my internet, you don't have to worry about that getting turned off with me having no job, unless my neighbor wises up.

If i can avoid getting fired, i might be able to take a month long leave of absence for the mandatory 30 day period where i won't be able to get a permit to get to work. It's a solution that works, if you consider not having any income for a month "Working". We'll see on that one. Again, it would leave me with more computer time.

Also, Meaney has worked his magic once again and saved the day by fixing my laptop so i can actually move it from it's stationary position under my tv. All of these factors ensure that you'll be seeing more of my not-so-smiley face around these parts. I'll work on the smiley part, but life is kinda shitting all over me at this point. (Not that it's not deserved, i fucked up and here come the consequences). So yea.

What's new with you? Been gettin naked? Making babies? Making music? All three at the same time? Let the Pooh know what's up with you kids.

Alright SG, I need your help! I've got a gig coming up (My first one to speak of in almost 2 years) and i'm a little rusty. I'm playing at a bar/grill during the last hour of their dinner rush on their opening night, and it's pretty much my one shot to nail down the gig, since they haven't heard me play yet. I have no doubt i'll rock, as i love entertaining and my voice has gotten exponentially better than the last time i fronted a band, but i have a problem...

I need a good mixture of songs to play - a wide variety of upbeat tunes that you would dig hearing some pasty white dude play at a bar. Only i don't want the typical bar songs - i want songs that everyone knows but maybe they haven't heard in a while. I want old songs, new songs, whatever. So any suggestions would be welcome. And if you're in the Rochelle area on Sat, you might as well come out. I don't know what you would possibly be doing in the Rochelle area, but that's beside the point.

So give me suggestions - they will be greatly appreciated. (No beatles songs please)

I saw Alice in Chains last week at an acoustic show in Milwaukee. And they taped it to be released on CD. And it was fucking phenominal. It's been a week and i am still having a difficult time describing the power of the show. The guy they have to sing Layne's parts is fantastic..he doesn't try to be layne, he just sings the parts and does them more than justice, he flat out rocks. It was a very emotional show to try to enjoy - being as the depth of the lyrics and the time that those songs remind me of, yet the joy of seeing this incredible band live and the beautiful strength of the songs created a very present dicotomy. In short, buy the album.

Other than that, things are going well. I've met a hot punk rock girl. And she's hot. And punk rock. And she's smart too. and other stuff. i'll get into that later.

Things are good. really good.

In an ongoing attempt to emulate my hero Meaney, i am having a considerable amount of pain in my back. I pinched a nerve in it the other day, and just went to the doctor to get some drugs. Any of you who know me KNOW that i NEVER go to the doctor. Ever. It is however out of control, i can't stand not being able to move or bend or lift anything. It sucks. And i have to work and be on my feet 10 hours a day.

i hope it gets better soon.

but anyway...

i've decided to buy a motorcycle... i've heard good and bad things about the Buell Blast, but don't know what to beleive.

I've also been watching the old epidsodes of Soprano's on A and E....man they are awesome. I just watched "the weight/pie o' my", and it brought back the days when that show came through and was incredible...what the hell happened there?

I've been working a lot. Not much new in the sandwich world.

Pan's Labyriinth is fucking fantastical. I've watched it 23,492 times. I know spanish by now.

Well, i got promoted today. You're now looking at a low level manager of a sandwhich shop. I didn't really get the raise that i wanted, but i'm not about to turn it down...so we'll see how it goes. Luckily, i managed (no pun intended) to get promoted 3 times in a shade under 6 months, so hopefully i can keep climbing the ladder into a price range that i'm happy with. Not that what i'm getting is bad - it's the first livable wage i've gotten and i'll actually be able to pay bills and debt off, as well as money for the occasional guitar, so that's good.

Anyway, i Vigited the Meaney clan over the weekend, and that was cool. They rock. It needs to happen more often.

anywho, i'm going to go treat myself to some taco bell. talk to you folks later.
