Hello Loves!

So I’m so sorry that I’ve been distant, things have been far too complicated and I finally have things to talk about!

So. Part of the reason I’ve been MIA pretty much ever since I joined the site? Well, let me start from the beginning:

I’ve had chronic stomach problems and unexplainable pain since 2009. Now, it wasn’t too bad at the start, went to see a few doctors, got a few different diagnoses and treatment plans.

But nothing was working. And it started getting worse. And the doctors didn’t know why.

Within the past year these problems have reached the point where I can no longer attend school, work, or function normally. No traveling to events, no great parties, no adventures, I’ve been spending my time staying home and trying to keep myself sane.

In the meanwhile, I was advised by my specialists to go to Mayo Clinic. You know, THE Mayo Clinic? That big one that deals with people that are really sick with unknown diseases?



So I drive to the clinic this past Monday to meet with the team that will be working on my case. They run all sorts of tests and try different treatments.



I decided to pretend I was being abducted by aliens. I got to be probed, sedated, scanned, and poked in the tummy.



The poking was probably worst, they took these long needles and an ultrasound to see where they were going with it, and they had to keep me awake for it.

But there’s good news in all of this. They believe, in simplest terms, that my body and brain are exchanging incorrect messages, basically bringing excess attention to pain while also causing dysfunction of my digestive system and organs. If this happens to be the cause, I will be spending weeks at the clinic in a rehabilitation program, aimed to train my brain and body to work correctly. If it’s not, they test more variables and try different treatments.

So not the most fun prognosis, but it’s better than no answers, and theoretically they can fix me. And that’s the best feeling in the world. I go back for the next few weeks for more testing and possible treatment, but things are finally starting to look up.

In other news, I’ve been an SG for a whole year! Huzzah!

The timing from when I became an SG to now has been particularly problematic, and I’m hoping as soon as the smoke clears and I’m in a better place with my health I can shoot again. I want to dance and sing and run marathons and travel. I have severe wanderlust.

I’m also planning on moving. West. As far west as Cali or Washington. And this should be in the next few years, sooner the better. Illinois is not the state for me. Hell, the midwest doesn’t feel like the place for me. But the west? I’ve been there. And I love it. It’s the only place I’ve ever felt home.

Other news?

I chopped my hair off. It was too damaged to do anything else with it. I can’t wait to grow it out and do fun stuff with the colour.

I'm going to take some photography lessons and start working on a few projects I've had in mind. I'll be damned if I"m not self shooting by the end of this year.

And I’m probably going back to college to finish my degree after I finish cosmetology school in a few months.

Well hullo there,

Just a short note; I'm not dead/completely gone yet. I'm very sorry about the hiatus, I will explain myself as soon as possible.

Why hello darlings!



So many goings on, school’s still happening full-blast, as is competition design. Big things coming in the near future, I can feel it...going to a few voice auditions too (fun fact: I did vocals for 12 years and it's kind of always been a dream of mine to pursue it)...more on that soon.


As you can see, I dyed my hair to a deep plum-violet-blue. I miss the pink and purple already but my hair was so damaged from the bleaching that I needed to give it a break. I'm warming up to it though :]

I’ve been assisting Writeboy recently, shooting a multi with Delia and Severen (holy heat batman!!!) and a set of the lovely Leon (she’s simply gorgeous! so thrilled she’s pink!). Afterwards I snuck in front of the lens for a few shots of my own, hopefully I’ll share soon.... ;]

Hey everyone!!!

Thank you so much for all the birthday wishes! It really means a lot to me to see people going out of their way, fer srs (even though that sounds super corny...). I was super surprised and thrilled to see some gifts too!!! =DDD Never woulda thunk! I promise I'll be making a more substantial blog soon, to show off the loot and such, but thank you very much in advance :] So far it's been a fantastic birthday and there's more to come!

Currently, my life = full time cosmetology school. This is especially true since I've decided to start competing in hair and makeup design, so when I'm not physically in class I've been self-educating and conceptualizing...I'm so stoked to start something I've dreamed of doing for a long time, even though my mind is racing at a million miles a moment.

That being said, SG is unfortunately going to take the backseat for awhile. Still planning on shooting soon if possible and in the meanwhile I'll be working on messages and whatnot. I feel terrible when I don't get back to people quickly :X I figured I'd warn everyone in advance that my already-slow responses may be even slower than usual :C
