I ran into my friend megan today. I havn't seen her or talked to her in over three months.
She is now in a wheel chair
She started hydroplaning at 63 ( speed limit is 55 ) and hit a tree head on in her honda civic.....
She shattered both ankles. They are now metal, both knee's are gone, also metal. Broke every bone in her left foot and almost every in her right. Broke her pelvis.
The car is fine other then needing a new fender......
She has just gained the ability to wiggle her toes again. The doctor has told her she ( at best ) will be disabled for 3 years. When and if she is able to walk again she will have a limp ( best case )
She will never be able to run or jump or skip again because the weight coming down could push the metal bars or plates through her skin.....
She just turned 18 this year
I couldn't muster words to say to her. I knew that nothing I said could ever make a moment of it better. I knew that there was nothing I could do to ease her pain physical or emotional.....I hate seeing friends in such pain and not being able to help.

That really sucks about your friend. It is one of those things were words just seem pointless. Harsh.
On a diff note, so have you wanted to stab any PS3 preorder customers in the eye yet?
