Foul mood passing! Oh, to be approximately human again! Huzzah.
So, I Saw the Devil was a terrible disappointment. I will admit that it was a gorgeously filmed movie, but that's where I stop. It was probably the most loosely constructed, masturbatory thing I've ever seen. If you take out the pointless gore-for-gore's-sake scenes, you end up with about 30 minute of real film out of nearly an hour and a half. Too bad, I really like all his other films that I've seen, I just don't see how everyone loves the thing.

Haven't slept in about 36 hours, stomach is playing havoc with my body. It's amazing how adding 8 hours to your day can lack any real productivity when you spend it doubled over, watching rererereruns of the Simpsons and Futurama.
Found out I have a week longer on break than I thought I had too. I should figure out some projects for myself or something, rather than just sitting around absorbing various media...

An eventful couple of weeks, though way too much time away from the precious squalor of my beloved New Jersey. PA is Philadelphia in the east, Pittsburgh in the west and Mississippi in between... How many of you have played drunken laser tag? Because it now ranks above sex and literature as my favorite thing.
Planning on heading into NYC in the next week or so for the Japanese Art exhibit at the Met and a nice jazz club, followed by drunken Brooklyn mayhem!

Lebowskifest is coming up in the city on Tuesday, which means we'll be going to see the original cast do a Q&A (which means I will finally be best friends with Steve Buscemi) before an awesome blu-ray screening of the movie! Now I just need to find a way to smuggle some white Russians into the theater...

First day at 5 Below today... Turns out dragging boxes of inflatable pool toys up and down a 7-foot ladder for about 7 hours ISN'T all it's cracked up to be. It's going to dig WAY too far into my reading/movie time... Also need to study Japanese... and try to get together shit for exchange program... and write a play... and so many other things. FFFFffffff.

The opera, "Die Walkeure," was fucking beautiful. I think anyone with a radio/TV has heard "Ride of the Valkyries" about a million times in their lives, and it's always beautiful, but it becomes POWERFUL in context. I'm not so much a music guy and even I was blown away...
Semester's ALMOST DONE. So excited to be done with college, even if it is only for a few months. Maybe it's BECAUSE I like learning that this place is so insufferable... Oh well. Done soon.
