Happy Valentine's Day & Happy Chinese New Year! I have been sick for several days so my day was uneventful. Slept a lot. Watched bad sci-fi on tv. Species & American Cyborg (on a Spanish speaking channel no less). Doing laundry now
Yesterday I was paid to do an in-store demo at a local grocery store selling Dove peanut butter chocolates. My voice was cracking & I had to bring cough drops. I wore plastic gloves so that hopefully I didn't get any customers sick. Stupid part of it was the company had me buy 12 bags of the candy, leaving only 3 on the shelf. I only opened 4 bags in the 6 hours I was there. Not many people wanted free candy! WTF?! I swear, the manager took the left over bags of chocolates home. I wasn't allowed to take them with me, because the company that hired me paid for them. Normally the managers leave the left over items in the breakroom for the employees. But I know he was leaving for the day when I caught him to hand them over. I mean, who wouldn't take free candy to give your family on Valentine's Day, right?

Tomorrow I should go visit my mom. I usually go see her on Sunday for dinner. But I wasn't feeling up to going anywhere today. I have Valentine's treats & a card for her. I really would love to hit up the Ren Faire so I can catch Mediaeval Baebes. I hope I feel well enough to do just that!
I think I need more cough syrup. And some juice. I may go out & buy some juice. Or maybe I'll squeeze my own from some grapefruit on the tree in my back patio? I need some Vitamin C!

Went to see AFI live last night. It was a good show. I had to get a ticket from a scalper. But I had some extra $ so I didn't mind spending a little more than face value. I have to say though, the show I saw in '06 was longer & had better sound quality. It was at a larger venue. Either way, I am happy to have seen them again. 
Last Thursday I saw this amazing flick at a local indie movie house. It was awesome! Night Of The Living Dead: Reanimated

Tomorrow I get to sing in front of my entire voice class. I've chosen a classic tune to sing. It's a relatively easy melody. The Carpenter's (They Long to Be) Close To You. Should be interesting. I need to go practice!!!

Happy MLK Day! I plan on hitting up a local celebration in his honor in awhile. I never got to attend any of those at the job I was laid off from. They didn't consider MLK Day to be a holiday worthy of giving us paid time off.
School starts tomorrow for me. It's an exciting line up of classes I'm taking. It may be overwhelming, but I'm looking forward to it. Photography, Life Drawing, Flash Animation, & Vocal Lessons.
I got a decent job lead. I hope I get an interview out of it at least. It would be nice to have a "regular" job again. Having cruddy independent contract work is a drag. But it's better than no work at all! Saw Daybreakers recently. I liked it. Sort of like I Am Legend with vampires.
