Hello out there is SG world! It's been an awfully long time since I've made a proper journal post. So here's the what on your friend Inara.....Split from the now ex in October of 2008. It's been a rough, dramatic time since, and he still does whatever he can to make a mess of things for our son and I. Some people are just angry, no matter what has happened, but I've had lots of time to accept and come to terms with that fact and who he really is. I've let a lot of the anger go, and now my only remaining concern for him and his issues is how they will affect our son. He doesn't seem to have too much concern for that, and it's really quite sad. Also because of all the personal crap between my ex and I, he found it better (or rather more satisfying for him) if I didn't work at the bar anymore- after 6 years. And when this happened last summer I was pretty much shit out of luck in this economy towards finding another job. My total loss of income had caused me to have my car reposessed, lost my condo, and lets just say a remaining less than sub-par credit score. Life sucked for a while. Finally in January of this year I found a job bartending in a fine dining restaurant in North Scottsdale. Money was awesome the first 2 months I was there, and I was able to line up a new apartment for my son and I to move into. Then, the bottom pretty much fell out of the business over there to where in a matter of literally a week I was making less than half of what I was up to that point, and it became blaringly obvious the expense of my own place was still pretty unrealistic. Now however, in the last few weeks things seem to be turning around a bit. There's still drama with the ex, as I anticipate there will be off and on for the next 14 or so years, but business at the restaurant, while still pretty inconsistent is becomming at least more profitable and worth my time than it's was. Also I was just hired on bartending and serving at a new restaurant in an extremely beautiful area in Carefree working days. I'll be working both jobs at least for a little while to get caught up, but I'm hoping I can build up the business at the new place quickly enough to quit my other job bartending nights, and finally have an awesome schedule of just week days like everyone else. There's also some rad new developments in the romance department. I don't want to jinx it by getting all gushy over it like you all know I want to right now, but I'll just say he's totally the bees knees and he also seems to think the same about me. It's pretty awesome.

So there you have it up to current. Basically things sucked for a while, but now they don't and I'm stoked

So Friday night, after a completely slow and financially uninspiring shift at work, I'm walking through the closing clean-up crap we have to do at the end of the night, and low and behold, I find a crumpled up $20 bill laying on the floor. Quickly into my pocket it went, but instead of keeping it under wraps like I originally wanted to, I told my second bartender I'd found the money and we put it towards tipping out our help at the end of the night- not keeping a penny myself.

Then, last night I'm out at a bar in Scottsdale walking my way to the car for a little smoke break, and in the parking lot right next to my car on the ground lay a perfectly folded, brand new $20 bill.

Karma anyone?

It's been a pretty rad week.

So.....what's up?

Come help me celebrate my 30th Birthday tomorrow, Thursday December 18th. I will be working from 11:00am to 7:00pm and my party and other drunken shenanegins is set to start around 8:00pm, and I will most likely run out of gas by 11:00pm. Sorry. It's been a really long week. There will be different drink specials all night long.
