So, nearly six months in reflection of living the "big city life." Eh, it's not so different, just a lot more expensive.

I found myself a team for ultimate frisbee at a CoverGürl show tonight. Friend of a friend introduction where we all spent the night screaming along to the songs sung by an incredibly attracive (but, sadly, apparently married) lead singer. He yelled to one of his buddies to show up to frisebee on Thursday and I couldn't pass that up. Can't wait to get back into that.

I quit smoking. I'm flipping out. Despite popular belief and practice, it was not a New Year's resolution thing as I quit when I went back home for the holidays and couldn't smoke at my parent's for a week. I'm coping by playing too much WoW and Rock Band. I also had my first alcoholic beverage since proxy quitting and that was rough. I've gone through a half pack of gum tonight. Thankfully it's sugar-free. /twicth

I think I said last entry that I was going to use this more, even if just to have it all down somewhere. I fail. Sue me.

Last note, Clutch is playing at the Metro on February 26th. My ticket is purchased. Support good music that's extremely under appreciated.

Shits! If I actually plan on using this, I should probably do so more often.

So, moved to the Chicago area. Lisle, to be specific, just east of Naperville. Stole some internet from a couple friends in Buffalo Grove for a week, and trying to get out Friday night to see a couple others I know.

Driving back to Peoria this weekend to take the GH2 championship at the local GameStop and then back home to work on the ol' WoW addiction. August 8th, I'm trying to line myself up with a girl from Gurnee to head over to Grant Park to see Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, so we'll see where that goes. We missed Young Frankenstein because she had an unexpected visit from a high school friend who decided to take her out for an impromptu dinner.

Also, the new job isn't too bad. Definitely better than spinning wrenches all day, and it beats the hell out of unemployment.

So, I've been back for awhile, just not terribly active. I'm moving to Aurora, IL this weekend and I still need to find an apartment and some sort of social interaction. Neither are going well.

I've recently been talking to a particular women out in Cali that wants to hook up with my friend when she flies out for his brother's birthday. He and I got drunk Saturday night and she ended up calling and joining in over the phone and she and I exchanged IM names. She starts talking (after I'd retired to my place) to me and confessing how she's not sure she wants to hook up with him now because she found out he's a virgin and she's terrified that he's going to get attached even though she just wants some cock. She's actually probably correct in her fears that he may have already developed a slight emotional attachment. Then she started hitting on me. Oi...and damn was it hard to say no to that. Try as I might, I'm pretty sure I gave her an invitation to accompany me to Aurora after the wedding which she accepted. I'm such a jackass. Although I'm pretty sure I'll turn her down the day of (and kick myself repeatedly afterwards), I'd feel horrible for douching a buddy like that. So, this is fuel to the fire on finding myself someone to start a serious relationship with or at least an exclusive sexual relationship. Either way, I could turn her down without wanting to drive home and beat my head against the wall all night.

Whoa, shit, I totally forgot about this place. How? I don't know eactly, but it must have something to do with getting bored with or not having time for it. I'm guessing it's the latter. I don't have time to sit down and check out the new photo sets, nor do I have much time to post in the one or two communities I favor.

So, I'm gonna save myself some money and get out while the gettin's good.

If anyone does happen to see this (most likely from the WoW group), I'm on Deathwing as Schinn nine times out of ten when I'm home. If I'm not home, you're probably not gonna get ahold of me. AIM name to the left and bottom.

Part of me wants to go out good and proper with a massive attack on someone or something around here, but that's not my style. Fade in, fade out, gone. Like mother fucking Batman.

I had plans to write something here, but I realized I'm completely out of ciagrettes. So, no updating. Just going to the store for smokes.

Lately I've been feeling old. I'm not. I know that, I just feel it.

A couple of my good friends have been hanging out with recent and soon-to-be high school grads lately, and when we get around them and get talking, half of them just look at us and have no idea what in the flying fuck we're on about. They're alright guys, don't get me wrong, it's just kinda weird sometimes. I mean, we'll be talking about stuff from when we were in school or little kids. It's not ancient history; it's barely 15 years old at most. Then there's the one kid that bummed a smoke from me and I found out a week later he was only 16. That made me feel like shit. >_<

I look at my music and realize 75% of it is from 1990 to 1996, 15% is from 1960 to 1980, and the rest is newer stuff from the 90's bands or bands with one album. Most of my music is 10 to 15 years old. I heard Bush on the oldies station. I heard Marcy Playground and the Foo Fighters on the classic rock station. I wondered what the hell was going on. I called up the station that plays the newer stuff and requested some Primus I've heard them play. They said they don't have that on their list anymore. Why? It's too old. Thanks.

I see girls who graduated years behind me pregnant and married. I see people I've known for years in established careers and doing well for themselves. I see close friends already handling divorce, two-year-olds, and mortgages. I see girls here that could be my little sister. I see it all around me and feel old.

I've got two months until my last meaningful birthday. Ten years ago I couldn't wait to be a teenager. Ten months ago I was glad to be rid of that stigma and the generalizations it brought. Now I'm the new generation and I already feel the ones behind me eager to replace me. I see my best friend's daughter and realize that she's going to be the one that my generation raises. She will be one of the ones we hand the reins to in 20 years.

I'll be settled into my cushy position at Whateverthehell Corp when she drops off a resume. I'll look it over, ignore a few spelling erros and call her back for an interview. She'll get the job, and, in another 20 years, I'll be out the door with a pension plan and a 401K while she picks up a resume and ignores a few spelling errors.

It took me a fraction of a second to get from zero to twenty and I feel this next fraction slipping by already.

I got a little something done today...

Satan at I'm No angel in Peoria did it and it turned out exactly how I wanted it. He was very patient with me considering it was my first, but I'll definitely look into his ideas for my large back piece I've been planning for years.

Now I disappear back into the void while my friends peruse the naked ladies I've so graciously unlocked for their viewing pleasure on this alcohol-fueled night.
