My room is finally getting to the point where I can walk around without falling over things. Almost. One or two more hours of putting stuff where it goes, and it should be "in order." Then another 2 hours of cleaning and maybe there won't be a 4 inch thick layer of dust on everything. That would be awesome, wouldn't it? It sure would. I bet my little plastic friends would jump for joy. If they can experience a concept such as "joy." They can. I know they can!

This is doubly impressive since I have been living at the Halloween store and pulling like 35 hour weeks on top of school and my teaching gig. Think I might have to graduate without a film degre, though, since I just can't fit the senior seminar in my schedule. SENIOR SEMINAR! WHY DO YOU DEFY ME???

Then again....every human being who ever graduated college with a film degree is now working in such illustrious careers as law enforcement or house painting, so I don't think I'm missing out on much.

Today -

-Death Metal CDs for a dollar or less are sweet. If the guy at the record store gets Lordi in for me, it would be sweeter.

- Avant-Garde dance performances get very very boring after an hour.

- Warcraft III does not.

- Soap hurts.

That is all. I want to watch my totally awesome copy of totally awesome Shock Waves and watch totally awesome Peter Cushing make totally awesome Underwater Nazi Zombie Shock Troops with which to fight totally awesome John Carradine.

Sweet. I now have a JOB. The kind that pays money, even. Plus, I get to wear costumes to work every day, should I choose, as well as getting to wear anything in the store. Coz its awesome like that at the Halloween ADVENTURE. Go me.

On a boretastic note, grading 70 essay tests in one day sucks phat kokk. If I have to hear one more person writing about Russian folk spirits, I think I will gouge my eyes out with my mechanical pencil.

I'm totally quitting school to go to Triangle Tech. I saw a commercial today and they said I could turn crushed rock into PROFIT! Screw you actual education, I want to learn how to change crushed rock into PROFIT PROFIT PROFIT!

Hmm, well I guess since I've been around for a month or so I ought to throw some updateage this journal's way. If for no other reason than for my own personal edification (read: I should be doing work). But in reality, I am doing work right now! I'm watching Terminator 2 over again before a lecture I have to give on Wednesday. And what is this lecture for, you may ask? Why Russian Fairy Tales, of course! How better to educate 300 college undergrads in Slavic folk literature than through Schwarzenegger movies? No way I know! And I now realize that Linda Hamilton has no idea how to clear a jammed shotgun (hint: it isn't pump the gun repeatedly!). Also, Terminator 2 is totally sweet.

Speaking of Terminators, my friend Cody (he lives UPSTAIRS) just gave me his old Synsonics TERMINATOR GUITAR. When he told me it had a built-in amp I was excited, but not so excited as I was to find out that it is the EXACT SAME MODEL OF GUITAR I USED TO HAVE. Totally. Boss. I got most of the dumb old stickers and stuff off of it with some lighter fluid, and repainted the amp grille silver, but there is still some work to be done. Happily, the guitar works, but unhappily it still reads "NOFX" and "Sex Pistols" in old gold paint-pen. Eh, I'll find a way to remedy that. I also plan on affixing a sword blade on the underside of the frets so that I can be totally cool like the guy in Slumber Party Massacre 2 (but with a sword, not a drill). However, since the guitar miraculously still functions, I have dubbed it...DEATHSCALIBUR.

Cities will fall before our might. I will crush my enemies, see them driven before me, and hear the lamentations of their women. In short, many will die by my hand.

Return from CLEVELANDIA! It is the land of CLEAVING, you know. Cleveland was fun, because it was not Pittsburgh. Sometimes that's all that matters. We got a totally awesome hotel room for $40 (one of the highlights), it even came complete with a salubrious breakfast! With french toast, even!

When we got into Cleveland, we decided to head for Coventry, as I had never been there before and it was supposed to be mad sweet. Well, to get to Coventry from where we were, you had to cross Euclid and Cleveland Heights, otherwise known as THE GHETTO (imagine that spray painted in backwards blue letters on the side of a tenement for proper effect). After only getting turned around a billion or so times, we found Coventry and bought toys. Cool ones, that glow in the dark and bear a striking resemblance to the Creature from the Black Lagoon. This is mostly because it was a glow in the dark Creature who hailed from a certain infamous Black Lagoon. So that was all cool, and we managed to get lost again on the way back, but no big deal.

So that night we needed to find something to do, and our only viable option seemed to be the Carnal Carnival 2 at Club Phantasmagoricalogimasm. See, we wanted to go so we could find a hot goth girl to go back to our hotel room with us. Jenna is cute, so this didn't seem like too tall an order. So after (again) getting lost, we found the place. Forked $20 to get in only to discover....there were about 30 people there total spread over two separate floors in this "club" (I think it was a renovated sea food restaurant, but that's just me). Out of these people 23 or so of them were dudes about my dad's age. The music sucked, and the atmosphere was a pleasant mixture of uncomfortable/creepy/lame, so we didn't stick around long enough to find any cute goth girls. We must be doing something terribly wrong, since we've been trying to find a girl to have a threesome with for like a year now.

Next day, we hit up Madison coz I remembered there being some neat stuff there and we didn't really have time for the zoo or anything, but most of the places were closinated. Jenna scored some super cheap CDs though, and I got a $3 Armored Saint March of the Saint record (can't have that album in enough formats...), so that was a decent expedition. Then we ran out of stuff to do, so we went home. And got lost.

Did I mention we saw a one-armed man going into the pr0n shop we were leaving at about midnight? He seemed very uncomfortable.

Hmm, back again after yet another extended leave of absence....here is the long and short of the adventures up 'till now:

- Movie derailed by circumstances definitely falling into the "annoying" category. Derailed, but not destroyed, fools!

-Japan is expensive, but working 2 jobs with lots of 13 hour days sucks. Selling things on eBay is easier...slightly...currently working on a way to scam Wiccans for fun and profit.

-Jenna's turtle died today. Poor Penelope. Baby Gamera Jr. still lives, and Jeff and I buried Penelope in the back yard. I feel bad she's dead, but honestly, Penelope was a sucky name for a turtle. And she wouldn't even name her bunny Ed Gein OR Lizzie Borden...bah!

-The half of the movie GHOST SHIP that I saw before falling asleep was good. I didn't fall asleep because of the movie, it was sleep deprivation. Plot summary: SHIP IS FULL OF GHOSTS!

- My Iron Maiden Piece of Mind tape seems to be dying from overuse...

-Stealth Predator action figures are totally sweet. SEE-THRU! SEE-THRU!

-Memorial Day weekend is CLEVELAND TRIP! Why? WHY NOT! Julie at work says there is a sweet bondage store downtown and is gonna get me directions. Not going to Philly will suck, coz now we can't see the Mutter Museum (MEDICAL ABNORMALITIES!), but 2 hours drive is a lot better than 6. 6 hour drives=suckbucket.

-Foosball is hard. I think I'll stick to darts. Or maybe Jarts. Either way, having an honest to goodness game room is totally tight with a T!

-I have to be at work in 5 hours. If I sleep, it will suck. If I don't, I can get some stuff accomplished. Plus, I slept till like 11 at Jenna's house this morning, so I think I'll just stay up. PEPSI, HOOOO!

-Running Wild is the best pirate metal I ever heard. Ghost Rider is a totally sweet comic character. Skeletor gives life meaning.

THAT IS ALL! FOR NOW!

Day one of shooting was an official success. The gods blessed us with clear weather, and I got to shove an uncooperative extra into a creek to make his death more realistic. Its OK since he's been my friend for a while, and you're allowed to do things like that to friends. I think I'm gonna start selling stuff on eBay really soon though, since I just realized how insanely broke I am yesterday. This is not a good thing, but thankfully I have a surplus of useless items. Limited edition pink Gundam figure? Sure! Old Hi-Standard t-shirt? Why not! Still in-box Lurtz figure from LOTR that I got for $2? BRING IT ON! I just hope I don't have to part with either my beloved shotgun or my big Eddie figure from Maiden...those would be travesties of the highest order!

I HATE MOVING!!!

Honestly, who would think that moving 10 minutes across town could possibly derail my life so much? Its been like 2 weeks of pure annihilation! No sleep, no interweb (SUCK!), no bed (for a couple nights), no FUN! Bleh! Oh well, finally I have a night where I can just sleep in and not worry about things. HURRAH!

Movie shoot starts this week...don't think its gonna end this week. And I'm not gonna worry about it. Nosiree. With school, work, moving, and this impending Japan trip all weighing heavily in my mind for the last month or so, I simply have no more stress to distribute. Sorry world!

But I tire...more news on the morrow. Good day!

Ahhh, glorious existence that is mine. Well, dear readers, it is nigh on 4:00 AM right now, and I'm in the midst of moving. As of now I am currently being held aloft only by viture of Mountain Dew Code Red and Children of Bodom's cover of Maiden's The Trooper, and let me tell you, its awesome.

The move to Squirrel Hill has been delayed incredibly by myself, almost exclusively due to a wholesale lack of time. I've been insanely busy the last few weeks. Thus, since I only have one paper left to finish off the school year, I decided tonight would be a splendid night to commence my move. Let me tell you, its been FRUITFUL! Things are going excellantly, and I've made a large decision! I'm going to singlehandedly move my futon. Yes, I know what you're thinking: "But Ricky! Even with the might of the chosen one, surely the incredible heft of a futon is beyond you!" NAY I SAY! If anyone can do it, I CAN DO IT! Its just like Kai Hanson told me back on Helloween's Better than Raw: "I CAN!" Thanks, Kai!

The movie, being titled DRAGONSLAYER ZERO, is set to commence shooting in less than 2 weeks. Joyous day! Things are moving along very well. Earlier tonight I went and picked up some necessary materials, tomorrow I'm going to nail down 2 or 3 locations, Friday I'm going to a huge flea market to get props, and Saturday I'm going to Comicon. Coz its awesome.

In short, prepare yourselves. I am poised to take the galaxy by storm. SOLID!
