Actually I never realised that my job and my time in this house will have begun and ended in complete synchronicity. Oooh I wonder what else I'll remember. I'm quite looking forward to sifting through memories and pictures now.
It seems like I've been in work almost constantly for the last few months. I don't know what I was thinking when I booked my annual leave but it's been at least 4 maybe 5 months since I've taken any. Far too long, I'm wiped!
But there's 2 weeks time off coming up for me soon and it'll be good to have time off from the place as it gets stressful at times.
However I've been to a fair few gigs recently which has kept me from being too much of a dull boy.
Frank Turner (who had the mighty Chuck Ragan supporting him), AFI, Strung Out, The Dropkick Murphys, A Wilhelm Scream and Against Me!
The Dropkicks were probably the pick of the bunch but I was hammered watching them so that probably coloured my judgement.
I took a few pictures at the Frank and Chuck gig and my friend took some at Strung Out and Against Me! so here ya go.
So....how are we all?
I've been looking at that blog for what, nearly 6 months now and have lacked the motivation to write a new one.
What have I missed in that time?
The Leeds Festival, my birthday, a new mrs and a seemingly neverending party at our flat which finally ground to a halt after Sprowser and myself stood in the hall shouting "Get the fuck out of our house!" to a load of people we didn't know and staging a" fight" with the Boy Called Spitroast in order to scare some of the more fuckwitted stragglers away.
I've been to see Stewart Lee in that time as well as A Wilhelm Scream.
Speaking of gigs the next few months are going to be busy but good with me going to see
Hmmm more video heavy than I'd initially intended so I've collapsed it. Ah well ![]()
The new lady and me
This last one is annoying, the guys on the outside are two of my brothers but the guy in the turquoise shirt is not. However people think that he's me and that I'm him. What's troubling is that he thinks that it's a compliment for me and a grave insult to him!

Oh and I have a few of you on Twitter but feel free to add me on there if not
My Twitter
I enjoyed a visit from the delightful Savage who came up from that London for a few days (bearing in mind that I consider anywhere south of Manchester to be London)
I figured that she should see the lovely North Wales countryside (as she had confided in me previously that she had no idea what a cow was)
We visited several beauty spots but the highlight for both us was visting Portmeirion where The Prisoner was filmed
We weren't chased by enormous balls however. I get enough of that at home, more of which later.
We stopped of in Snowdonia on the way home too, which I always enjoy.
I also found this wonderful picture of
The_New_Scum while we were in Llandudno......
Those of you who were paying attention and haven't been bludgeoned by the picture overload may recall my comment about being chased by enormous balls. I'd like to take this opportunity to welcome my particular friend Sprowser to the site. He is my flatmate and a dear, dear friend ![]()
This blog has taken 3 times as long to write because he keeps coming into my room to sing songs about me having all sorts of terrible diseases.
Anyway, he's the handsome one in the pic, do feel free to go and say hello.

I have been planning a proper blog about the three legged charity pub crawl I took part in but my friend hasn't put the pictures up on Facebook for me to steal yet.
I'm currently walking round snarling in a foul mood due to not having a decent nights sleep in the past month.
This is due in combination to being back on days in work and having to wake up at 6am, the screaming kids who constantly scream next door, having builders in remodelling the inside of our house and my idiot brother ringing me about getting Dream Theater tickets at 730am ON MY DAY OFF!
On a more positiveI have turned my bed into a drum riser for Barry for when we play rock band
Yes it is an upside down table with the legs off, but it leaves me more floor space (for activities) to leap around like I'm in a mid 90's skate punk band.
There's has been a lot of Rock Band played here recently, not least at a big (and particularly successful) barbecue which was also intended to have a blog of it's own. Instead here are a few pictures, feel free to play spot
The_New_Scum in the background of a couple of them
I have been photographed with several pretty ladies recently which is always nice unfortunately two thirds of the girls in these pics are going out with each other. Which quite frankly is of no fucking use to me ![]()
I found this last one while sifting through the others it makes me look like a sex offender so I figured it's as good way as any to sign off.
Oh also this made me laugh....increasingly awesome show.
.
Okay I love you buh-bye.
It feels like this year has been spent almost entirely in work and it's been particularly hard going there recently but hey this is no place to air my woes about my particular line of work!
I have at least managed a few quiet drinks at home whilst dressed as a tramp or drinking from a very special straw
Whilst in the pub I enjoyed "pretending" to be a dirty old man.
I feel the last picture requires some explanation as it may appear lewd and uncouth to the untrained eye.
The guy applauding me (Big Dave) used to go out with a lady called Eileen and as we were chatting the song, "Come on Eileen" began to play.
So in honour of this I led a number of our friends (and people who'd just met him) in a celebratory dance and singalong for Big Dave.
Recently I have been watching and enjoying the final season of Battlestar Galactica, Watch_it_burn is wrong about it and I think it's possibly the finest ending to a series I have ever seen. Possibly even better than The Wire, which is starting soon on BBC 2. Watch it.
Speaking of BBC 2, Stewart Lee's Comedy Vehicle has been fantastic so far. A lot of people don't get Stew's stuff but if you're a fan of more intelligent comedy and don't mind working for it a little then go an watch it here.
Whilst I'm pimping Stew I may as well also pimp out his former comedy partner Richard Herring.
Rich does a free weekly podcast with Andrew Collins and it's one of the highlights of my week. Try it here.
I'm about to start 5 straight nights in work tonight, ending Tuesday morning. From there I will head straight to the train station in sunny Rhyl and wend my merry way to Cardiff for a couple of nights on the ale with a few friends.
The main reason for us going is the Wales vs Germany world cup qualifier. As rugby is such a ridiculous sport and the five of us that are going are possibly the only welshmen to hate the game I'm hugely looking forward to it. If we beat Finland on Saturday then this fixture could be a very important one for us.
I'm not holding my breath though ![]()
Also football related I found this old pic.....if you strain very hard you may be able to make me out in the centre of it ![]()
My brother has had a new puppy and I've spent a lot of time dogsitting recently
The boy Spitty reckons she looks like the monster from Cloverfield in that one.
Oh if you've been reading this for a few years then you may remember me having a display picture where I had a nosebleed and people insisted I had a tampon up my nose. Well anyway my friend liked the pic and drew this for me ![]()
Recently in the flat we have taken to patriotic flower arranging
that's right it's a daffodildo! Thanks to Hale & Pace for that joke.....
I'll leave it there
