right, random youtube time:

'Hana' by Asa Chang & Junray. give it a chance, because I reckon there's a good chance you've never heard it before, and it's different / weird / interesting / ace (delete according to personal taste).

in a way, it reminds me of this:

i think it's the strings (holy crap, i love this song).


featuring one of my favourite singers (Gillian Welch), one of my favourite guitarists (David Rawlings, on her right), and amongst the backing band (Old Crow Medicine Show), a bloke named Critter.

and I caught some of Batman Returns on the telly tonight.
