January wasn't that bad, all things considered. I did get to see Alyk, Smuffy, and briefly Testykitten. There was C-Span and an aquarium, and though there were no Beluga Whales I felt as happy as one.

I should have given credit for good hospitality sooner, but sincerity really does kill me. They're good people and a godsend in terms of conversation, however, and that bears mentioning.


In contrast to January, I spent the first of February nursing a head wound after a slip on a patch of ice sent me sliding headfirst into a brick wall. Now I'm worried about getting a Harry Potter scar in the corner of my forehead, to say nothing of the troublesome psychic powers that often result from head trauma.

But hey, at least I didn't cry. I've come a long way from the 1st grade and it'll take more than Old Yeller and a volleyball to the face to trick me into showing emotion.

Too bad I don't have a DS Lite and can't really justify the purchase.
