So I'm married... well not technically, but I asked a lovely young lady to marry me and she said yes. I never understood that talk of "one last night of freedom" at bachelor parties. If you don't think of this choice of how to spend the rest of your stupid life as freedom, then don't do it. So once I asked and she said yes, then it's official. I don't need a guy in robes to wave a magic wand and make it so, I don't need a guy in robes to smack down a gavel and say it's real.... ok what's with priests, judges and other men in power wearing dresses, they should just accept their proclivity, but I digress. The point is I choose, if not everything, then the things I can feasibly control and my acceptance of them is what makes them real.

This is why I never became a writer as I had wanted to be as a child. Making sense was never my strong suit, so let me get to the point. I never wanted to be one of those people who go around making an extra point to say "my wife this and my wife that" after getting married. But I can kinda understand how it happens now. Wierd.

Art Brut Fans! Well it's an important find for me. I could not find anywhere to buy and for years couldn't even find any place to download, but I've finally found a copy of Art Brut - Our Parents Record Collection. If you don't know, it's an amazing set of b sides. I can't be selfish, if there is anyone out there who needs it, message me and I'll try to find a way to get it to you. A truly great find for this music collector. Made my week or two.

Alright, I think this valentines day which was a musical of emotional destruction helped a lot. I feel like I had to get ridiculously over dramatic to show myself how insane it is to hold onto a memory of someone who left long ago. Don't get me wrong, I still care, but it's not actively ruining my mind.

I also think I was holding on to the idea of something good because it saved me the trouble of having to go out and meet someone, cause lord knows I'm shy and awkward. "Sixteen clumsy and shy, that's the story of my life". So yeah, where to go from here. It should be exciting, but if I'm being honest, it scares the hell outta me. I don't feel like I've ever figured how to live with someone, but can't seem to be alone. Not to mention that all the people I meet are so fucking young! (well legal, but still) I need to figure out how to grow up or I'm gonna be repeating this bullshit again.
