Took my last final of the semester yesterday. I think I did pretty well on it. But now the summer is finally here for me! Woo! I wish I didn't have to work and could just spend all day every day this summer not worrying about doing anything or following a work schedule, or any schedule for that matter. But such is life.

I'll be spending a good portion of my summer camping, going to concerts, drinking, smoking, lazing around and photographing everything I see. I mostly use my iPhone/Instagram to take pictures and share them, so if you're an Instagrammer like I am, follow me! My username on there is deadheadheather. I also have a "professional" Canon camera that I really have neglected for awhile, but will be making up for that with my free time.

Yesterday my boyfriend and I spent close to $80 on our betta fish. Needless to say, he's spoiled. But in comparison to his old little bowl, he's a much happier fishy now. He lives with my favorite character, Spongebob. I also bought a new bathing suit for the summer. I'll post a picture of it once I try it on again.

I wish I had better things to tell you guys than just about my life.Or I guess I wish my life was more fascinating. I feel like I'm boring! Hahaha.

Been a few days, ladies and gents. I'll give you a recap of my life. Not that you really care... Haha.

Thursday I had my last full day of classes for the semester. I took two finals, aced them both. Got my biology research paper back with a 99/100 on it (which I am super proud of!). Worked for six hours. Came home with a backache and a scratched wrist (work destroys me sometimes). Got home and ripped my bong a few times. Then passed out cold.

Friday I woke up and went straight back to work for another six hour shift. Thankfully I didn't have any other battle, or should I say work wounds afterward. Then when I got out I went to my aunt and uncle's house for my cousin's 30th birthday party. Family parties make me awkward usually but this one wasn't that bad. Had a few beers with my family, ate some pulled pork sandwiches (they roasted a WHOLE pig for the party), stood around the bonfire, stargazed (because they live in the country, it made it a lot easier to see the stars), and just overall caught up with the fam. Once I left I wasn't ready to sleep yet so I called my bestie to come hang out and we kept the party rolling with some brews and blunts. Chatted the night away until we both got so tired we couldn't even stand up.

Saturday I went to the lake with my boyfriend, my mom and my dog. We just walked around the pier and the shore for a few hours. I kept wishing I had a boat to be on at that moment because of how beautiful the weather was. Then we went home and cooked steak on the grill and salt potatoes and had a few drinks. My mom went out to a party so my boyfriend and I had a few more drinks and got silly. It was a good day.

Then today, Sunday, I vegged out in my bed until I had to work again. And now I'm vegging around again, writing to you fine people. Hope you enjoyed my little telltale of my weekend.

Yesterday I went to the NYS Fairgrounds to see two of my favorite bands, A Day To Remember and Rise Against, live. ADTR has been a favorite of mine for over five years and I've seen them live four other times, but this time was definitely the best. And I've loved Rise Against for a long time too but this was my first time seeing them.

I so desperately wanted to crowd surf during one of the many songs ADTR played but lack of trust in the surrounding people and lack of self confidence in the amount of weight I'd be putting on those people caused to me think twice. BUT I decided that next time I see them I'm most definitely crowd surfing.

It started raining when Tim from RA came back on stage for an encore with his acoustic and it just seriously fit the mood. He sang Swing Life Away, which is my favorite song by them, and with the rain coming down softly it just made the whole experience one to remember forever.

I was soaking wet and covered in mud when it was over, but it was definitely top five of my favorite shows/concerts I've attended.

I did however have an awkward moment that I'll share. I went with my current boyfriend, my ex crush, and my best friend. And when we got there we stood right next to my ex boyfriend who still flirts with me and my boyfriend just kept glaring at him making sure that his presence and precedence was known. Damn men and their macho shit.

I'm dying for the end of the semester to be here. Sick of studying and cramming and worrying and stressing and fuck I just want summer. After Monday, I'm free of this shit for three whole months. YES.

I forgot to blog about how I'm on a mission to drop ten pounds this month. I've already lost about 1 1/2 in a week, but I'm dying to pick up the pace. Anyone know of any good recipes/workout plans that will kick me into high gear?

Sorry I've been MIA for a few days, friends. Spring cleaning, work, classes, final projects, lots of laundry and getting out to enjoy this beautiful weather has preoccupied my time!

School is over next week for the semester for me. Only one more semester after that and I'll have my associate's degree. Then hopefully starting on the journey I've been waiting to start for over a year now, veterinary school! I love animals so much. I want to dedicate my life to helping, healing, comforting and loving them any way that I can. I feel it's the least I can do for them as they bring so much joy into my life.

Tomorrow I'm going to be selling a lot of stuff at a route long yard sale; getting rid of old toys, clothes, electronics, and anything else that I've been hoarding forever. Make some pocket money and give my poor house some extra space it needs.

Earlier today I got home from work and immediately stripped my uniform off and poured myself some Bailey's on the rocks and enjoyed the gorgeous weather that CNY had. Sunshine, alcohol, music, good company. I had a good evening. I hope you all did too! I'll keep you posted about my luck at tomorrow's sale too. Goodnight.

Maybe I'm misinterpreting tone through text, because that's very common on the Internet, but people commenting on my topic in a group rudely when I was simply asking a question and then having staff close the topic without letting me comment back is bullshit. No need to be pricks.

If you couldn't tell by now, I'll make one thing very clear. I cannot stand a person who is an asshole for no reason, or is an asshole repeatedly. Especially to someone you don't even know. Grow up.

Literally rolled out of bed this morning, found clothes to wear (sweatpants ftw!) and was out the door to school. I'm so glad college isn't like high school where everyone judges you on your appearance every single day. Now not doing my hair, makeup, and planning out the perfect outfit is okay because there's so many other people who do it at college. Woo! Lazy people unite! Haha.

My only class on Mondays is Children's PE. I play with little 4-5 year old kids for an hour twice a week and get three credits for it. Easiest. Class. Ever. Then I'm free for the rest of the day. But today, I'm going to go spend an hour or two or three in the library and do work on the computer and try to not get distracted by the Internet. Wish me luck on that, because it's so very hard.

You know what's annoying? When "friends" lie to you about why they can't hang out with you but then hang out with other people. Like if you don't wanna hang out with me, stop being a pussy and tell me that, don't lie to my face. You just end up burning bridges and making yourself look bad.

Sorry for the rant... I'm just really annoyed. Fuck fake friends, man. Don't need 'em. Alright. Gonna go rip my bong now.
