Good Morning SG'ers!!!
So another weekend down of working. Friday Night I did promo shots for Run Romeo Run . What a cute band! they hired me a few months ago to shoot a live show then contacted me for some promos and then we hammered out the album cover shoot ideas. You see I wanted to do a band shoot with a Hazzardous Twist and RRR are totally up for the task!. I am even bringing in a special FX artist to do the makeup of my models (they are playing extras) EEEK I CANT WAIT!
Saturday I did an Engagement Session for my Dec wedding clients. They are huge Flames fans so I took them to the Dome to shoot then some romantic fun places around this city.
Here is a couple shots Dougie took of me while I was working.
I never have photos of me in action so I gave Dougie my old camera to play with while he assisted me on a shoot.
So this weeks Babe of the Week is Kelsey!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She played a James Bond Babe for me in this set.
I am also on Deviant Art. I have a few models who use this site and all said I should get my butt on there!

HAPPY HUMP DAY!
So I've been working like a mad woman lately. This weeks been go go go. I finished all the product shots for that boutique and phew.. that was a workout! The ladies brought me the products Saturday and it was 3 huge boxes of stuff that needed individual shots. Glad that is done and cant wait to see my stuff on a professional website.
Last night I did another Hazz Mat shoot. I was super glad this one was booked indoors because we had a wicked thunderstorm last night and sheets of rain. I am trying to shoot a couple weeks in advance so I have more time to edit the set for the site. This weekend I am super pumped because I have two engagement photo shoots for clients. This is going to be awesome because the one couple requested the romantic park style shoot and then followed by a creepy boiler room shoot with a Hazzardous Touch. I had no idea this couple even followed my Hazz Mat stuff but when I set up the E-Session last week they both told me how much they love the sets on my site and how unique they are and they want a set like that so they can blow up art of themselves for the house. Really brought a tear to my eye
So I am doing a draw today on my FB Page. I'm giving away art to fans today! Like my Facebook Page and your automatically entered into the draw! HAZZARDOUS MATERIAL FACEBOOK GROUP
Also doing draws next month for tickets to LAMB OF GOD.. then JULY we are doing draws for METALLICA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I had a really sweet email from a fan this weekend. I gave my members the presale to UFC in Calgary and he wanted to let me know how much that meant to him because he is a die hard UFC fan and got amazing seats because of the presale. Also told me who his fav models were and why he loves Alexandra-Melina and the every so stunning Talyn Stone and thanked me for creating such cool art in our city.
So I hope everyone is having a fantastic spring so far. Summer is just right around the corner and I am soo freaking excited for this one. METAL!!! GLORIOUS METAL! plus my buddy Trev is in town for Canada Day headlining a show with his band http://www.facebook.com/imperativereaction. I haven't seen Trev in two years! not since the last time I was in LA and he was here with Combichrist while they were touring with Rammstein but sadly I was in Saskatoon for work why they played Edmonton. But the best part about this... my birthday is the day after.. so I believe that's gonna be my bday bash this year

Jesus.. I have to be the MOST accident prone person I know. 
So this Monday I was carrying our vacuum down the stairs and the latch came off the cannister and I slipped on the hose and fell onto my ass and continued down our entire flight of wooden stairs onto the concrete floor of our basement. It was one of the worst pains EVER! I winded myself, punched the wall on my way down and I thought I seriously broke my ass. My model Bambi was in from Saskatoon and she came running down the stairs because she heard the tumble. By the power of the gods no breaks.. well I hope no breaks.. but this is what my ass looks like. This was on day 1, today is day 3 and its worse lol. I had tickets to Nickelback and Seether tonight but alas I can't sit on my bottom for long and my back is killing me.. so it's me laying down with frozen peas on my ass. I gave my tickets back to my friend who has the box so he could give them to some clients. I am truly blessed I don't have to pay for shows at the Saddledome or NHL games.
So I had to hobble around Monday in Red Deer as I did two duo sets for Hazzardous Material. The first set we shot we did a Hazzardous Twist on the classic fairytale SNOW WHITE. We changed the ending in this tale and I've had amazing feedback from the teasers posted on our Facebook Page and emails from fans saying how pumped they are for the Friday's release. This is seriously one of my fav shoots EVER!.

So then the evening came and after hours of the Wolverine Gun and Tackle approached and we headed over there so they could fit the models in their clothes and get out the real big guns. I was so appreciative when this company wanted to work with us. They provided the outfits for my models, the props, the location and real guns! Like I am talking we used the big ass guns from Modern Warfare and hand guns that put the term "bad ass" to a whole other level. I'll make sure to show you the teasers from that set (it's going to be the set for the following week).
What made me even more happy. They owner's best friend came to tell us that this summer we can use his huge farmland to shoot another set with his army vehicles. One of them even has a big ass machine gun on the back of it. So this set is going to def be bad apples. I am very blessed to have such wonderful companies wanting to work with us for locations and costumes.
So this past weekend was a special one. I did a casting call for Hazzardous Material. I had a killer turn out of women but only two males. WHERE ARE YOU MALE MODELS?!?! LOL but needless to say I can't wait to add on the next 5 models to my company. This time around I did head shots and the interview then sent off everyone's photos to 5 guest judges. These judges are photographers, musicians and local talent in Calgary. This Friday I am posting the 5 models head shots on the site and FB page and then it's time to write the tales for these ladies and gents. Two of the models blew my mind. One of the girls I've been following for ages with her work. I love love love her style and pray to the photography gods that she is one of the picks from the judges.
So this week I am doing clothing shots, babies and kids for a boutique shop in Calgary. I got the little girls and babies done but this week its the little boys and boy babies. The girls we did a damask backdrop, pearls, suitcases and went for that classic vintage look. The boys are done with guitars, amps and have a more rock theme to them. TOO CUTE!. Then its off to shoot for Zivity this weekend and a couple client shoots.. including a killer set for a friend on SG. I can't wait to shoot his set! We have some fab ideas up our sleeve.

So this weekend I am doing my casting call for more Hazzardous Material Models. I am so freaking pumped for it because I have some big faces in the modeling industry in Calgary coming to the casting call. There are a couple of these models that I've followed for a while so I am really excited to meet them and hopefully cast them. You see this time around I've got 5 guest judges making the call on the models who are going to grace the pages of the Hazzardous Tales.
So last but not least just a couple pics from Dragonforce. God the lighting in the venue was shit. They had a horrible sound guy and stage guy. Usually I am very stoked to shoot there because they have a whole wack of track lighting but this time around they had only one set of track lights with the beautiful colors of red and yellow LOL. And the mic was WAAAAY to low for the Singer. So here is the shots and my youtube vid from my iphone.
I had one of the WORST hangovers after this show. After they were done me my model Alexandra and Dougie went to the VIP room for beers and then after the venue shut down we hit the tour bus for some Jack Daniels.. which I can never drink again after this night. Doug had to carry me to the car after because I could barely walk. It was still one of the most fun nights ever and I was so glad to hangout with Fred again. He's always been such a wicked friend and I love chilling with him and listening to his beautiful French Accent.

DRAGONFORCE ARE HERE!
I am getting WAAAAY to excited to see Fred. It's been a couple years since they were last here and I keep in touch with my friend but it's just so nice when your friends are in town on tour because you get to catch up with them for a day or two (depending on how long they are here for). So I've got a press pass and tickets for tonight. This music blog for my site is going to be epic with Dragonforce photos.
Another killer thing.. I was talking to Trev and they are back in town July 1st with Imperative Reaction. This is the best birthday present EVER! I have not seen Trevor since 2009!! He was here last year with Combichrist when they opened for Rammstein but I was unfortunately in Saskatoon working so I missed the show. Trevor is an amazing tattoo artist and if he has time hes going to ink me after the show. I am going to be 3 sheets though.. once midnight hits it is my birthday lol... so happy!
So I shot my first ever duo set. It was so much fun! The set is one of my fav's I've ever shot. It is so grotesque during the throat slashing scenes. I really wish that I could use those photos as my teasers but we all know how much crap gets flagged on Facebook and I am not too sure about posting that shot on here? any words of advice? is it okay to post blood, guts and gore?

This Saturday is my Cinco De Mayo Party at my studio. This is going to be epic! I'm feeding all the clients drinks while they get hair and makeup done, then they step into my studio for portraits.

Well this is the fifty BILLIONTH time I've attempted to blog and it keeps refreshing halfway through to a blank page.. Talk about a piss off!
So today I am shooting a very special set. Today I shoot my first ever duo set. Today is another day.
So I had a shit storm of a day/night but I gotta brush it off. My hot water tank went yesterday so I am without hot water until Saturday and then I got a horrific hate email about site my font on my photos saying it was unprofessional and juvenile and I write like I'm retarded. I politely wrote a response saying thank you for viewing my visual art and if you don't like it don't visit my website. I am by no means a writer but I do like to write about music, hockey and photography. I have created a site to showcase my art and give a place for bands to promote and talk about tours/music/etc. I think I am doing a fantastic job considering the amount of people who signed up for the newsletter and the amount of bands who are working with me this year. I've had such a passion for shooting bands and RPG has really helped me out with my photography over the past couple of years and giving me insight on things to do and not do. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR TAKING ME UNDER YOUR WING

This weekend I'm doing a shoot to raise awareness for a disease that affected one of my male models. My model lost majority of his intestine from Crohns and Colitis and we are doing an artistic shoot to showcase the disease and poster prints are going to be up at the charity BBQ which is put on by M&M Meat Markets.

This weekend I'm doing a shoot to raise awareness for a disease that affected one of my male models. My model lost majority of his intestine from Crohns and Colitis and we are doing an artistic shoot to showcase the disease and poster prints are going to be up at the charity BBQ which is put on by M&M Meat Markets.

Well looks like life has thrown me another shit storm.
So this weeks been a hard one. I had one of my dumbass brides tell me when I ran into her at Safeway that she moved the wedding to August 2013 and her and her fiance never informed me. Worst part.. Ive passed up three weddings on August 18th in the past month. I asked her when she knew they switched the date and she said since Feb and her fiance was suppose to contact me. I have the deposit but I'm a little put out with the fact they have known so long and failed to inform me. I could of had that date filled and hopefully I still can.
So my mother called me to let me know that a friend died this week. That is #2 for me this month. Strange thing is this one suffered addictions as well and his addiction got the best of him. It's so hard when someone's life is taken from an overdose. I have more lives lost then every finger and toe on my body. I'm starting to lose faith in my life and feel like I need to take a break. I work 7 days a week and my emotions are starting to get the best of me. I cry alone every day, suffer from severe migraines now at least once a week and I struggle with anxiety like you would not believe. What makes things worse is my wedding is stressing me out so much I don't even want to get married anymore.
Does anyone have any tips that can help me with these things?

This weeks been a busy one!. I've done a few wedding consults and I booked my first wedding for Summer of 2013! so over a year in advance! CRAZY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So the Red Wings lost last night. I gotta say I'm still very proud of them because they held their ground and we were pretty even. I was however not impressed with the lack of calls or the dumb ass calls on some of my players. You can really see the hate on for my Wings. I am so upset that Helm is out! he went in for surgery on his tendons in his arm. Poor guy!
So this week I took advantage of the dull spring colors for my Babe of the Week photo shoot. Everything is going to start getting green so I wanted to go with a more animalistic approach for this set.
So I'm going to do another casting call in May to bring on some more models for my site. I pay you ladies up front CASH and 90% of the time I provide the costumes and props. Sometimes my models have something wicked they want to work with so we use outfits or props they have. So if your interested please come for the open auditions. You will be getting head shots with your interview.
