I found a friend who is looking to get an apartment with me! Fingers crossed we can find a 2 bed in a reasonable area that is pit bull friendly...
My car was not as wonderful as I'd hoped. I have to replace the intake manifold and the radiator, and the brake safety switch needs to be fixed. All of this is going to cost me around 900 dollars to fix and I absolutely do not have that kind of money. I'm freaking out. 
My friend said she had the mechanic look at it and he TOLD her that the manifold was cracked, but she didn't tell me because he told her it wasn't a big deal. I feel pretty stupid. I knew better than to buy a car from a friend but against my better judgement I did, and now I regret it. I love the car but I am having to pour money into it that I just don't have.
Just when things seem to be going well some shit always has to happen. I don't know how I'm going to afford this. My parents don't have the money to help me, and I don't really have anyone else to turn to. This sucks

As has been mentioned in the past, my job sucks. Not necessarily because the job itself sucks, because it could be worse, but I don't get paid much, I don't get any benefits, and I don't get any paid time off, sick days, or even paid holidays. So if I'm sick, tat's a day's pay I lose if I choose to stay home. And that sucks.
BUT
Last Thursday my supervisor told me that they're going to be posting my job at the end of my contract extension (end of the year) as a full time, salaried position with benefits. She wants me to take it.
It would be the same job, but my hours would have to start being more regular, and there are a couple things I need to fix. Like being a little more conservative with my dress (SORRY I have cleavage up to my nose unless I wear a turtleneck), coming in later and staying later, and being on the internet less. Which means nowhere near as much work chat as before. And definitely no cam. I've even taken my webcam home so as not to be tempted.
ALSO, there's a boutique by my house that I did feathers/extensions at last year that wants me for some part time holiday work. One of the women saw me working on Saturday selling photos and noted that I'm an energetic worker, so she called me a few days later asking if I wanted to do some moonlighting! I have that interview tomorrow but it seems like they're pretty sure they want me. I'm great at interviews so no sweat.

I have a cold and laryngitis. I have no voice at all. My whole body aches, especially my head, which is throbbing. Now, as of this morning, I'm also feeling nauseated. I shouldn't be at work, but really, I have no choice because if i don't work, I don't get paid, and If I don't get paid, I can't pay my bills or eat. So normal, responsible recovery isn't really an option for me right now.
I owe you guys an official update, however, on my living situation. The last place, as most of you know, was terrible. I was sexually harassed for a week before the guy got fed up and kicked me out and didn't give me back any of my rent. After coming back home with my parents AGAIN for a week or so, I found a room to rent in a home a full 1.2 miles from my parents' place. The city of Plantation is pretty nice. It's an upper middle class area, lots of kids, lots of sports, lots of businesses. I'm in a nicer neighborhood in Plantation, called Plantation Isles (fancy, huh?)
The homeowners are an older colombian couple. Maybe 50's or 60's. He travels a lot for his irrigation business in Colombia and she works here doing housecleaning and dogsitting. They have a dog, Ziggy, and three cats, Chuey, Isis, and Sylvestre. Their room is on one side of the house.
On my side of the house, there are two bedrooms. One is mine, and one is shared by two girls around my age. Amy isn't around a lot, because her dad just had a stroke and she's been staying with him. I don't really know her much at all. Gigi is 23, and a little blue haired mexican spitfire. I just adore her. We get along great and we're open enough with each other that we don't fight or argue about much because it's all already on the table. We have a running date every Tuesday night to watch Sons of Anarchy and I smoke her out and she buys beer. It's a beautiful thing. She has a chihuahua named Dirty Sanchez, Sanchez for short, or in circles where calling your dog a shit mustache is inappropriate.
I share a bathroom with Gigi and Amy, though like I said, Amy is rarely there. Gigi works at a pub, so her hours are somewhat sporadic, but whenever we can hang out we have a blast. The bathroom is really beautiful. My room is also huge. It came furnished with a bed, nighstand, TV with direcTV, a desk, and a floor lamp. There is a huge backyard with a doggie door that Ophelia can go in and out of as she pleases (when she's not terrorizing the cats). She and I are both VERY happy there, and I'm doing everything I can to keep this place.
OH! This place is also walking distance from my old softball field, which has a dog park that blows all other dog parks out of the water. It's where the K-9 units come to train, and it's like Disney for dogs. Lots of room to run, obstacles to play on, doggie water fountains, and the people are all really nice.
All this to say, despite my poor health, I'm really pretty happy. Also, my account runs out on the 26th, so I don't know when/if I'll be renewing that. I probably will, just not right away. Bills to pay and whatnot. We'll see. But if you'd like to contact me during that meantime, message me and I'll give you my kik or something.
