My last day in Sales at the Computer Store on Saturday; my first day in Purchasing at Head Office on Monday! 
My best friend is taking a major promotion himself, the bad news is that his new job is in Windsor! Since highschool, we've hung out together. He married the woman the other guys had picked for me (a long funny story), we got in trouble together for years, got hammered together at night clubs, etc.
He moved to Edmonton, I soon took a promotion there - he moved to Calgary, I came and took a job here. We've been good friends for over 25 years! I was hard for me to say that I didn't think I was going to follow him out to Ontario.
It just won't be the same without him here...
Lotus has been sighted in California and Nevada so far this month! She can't hide out here in Calgary for long; not with her lust for life. Look for her where ever the action is!

Anyways, I have Family coming in for Easter; one Sister, a Brother-in-law, and a few assorted nephews from that flat Province to the east.
Now, is it just me or does EVERYONE clean up more than usual when company comes to visit? Am I the only person to make the house look different by doing everything I can think of to make my place look better than it normally is?
Do you clean out and stock the fridge with more healthy foods than usual, stack your magazines (very) neatly, etc. Hell, I even hung a few more pictures than I had up before...
Man, just how presentable does the place have to be for family?

...and the other good news is that they're doing 26 new episodes of ''Futurama'' for TV and we're hammering out the deal now. The original plan was to have the DVD's first but that's no longer the case...
Oh, wait! Sounds like there will be 4 Futurama Movies, not 26 Episodes...
Other than LOTUS coming back to Cow Town for the whole summer, this is the best news yet this year...

Its been a full month at the new job, and it is so much better for me here than the last place! Better Management, Harder Work (but I enjoy the faster pace), and much better Total Compensation!
I have my evenings back now after 8 pm, so I am starting to get back in touch with old friends I haven't seen for too long.
I also want to get back into the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada, start Slalom Racing, and get a regular (SG?) Girl!
Go figure, me getting my life back! Yay!!!

Started working for the leading Computer Store in Calgary on Monday, January the 30th! Work is 9.5 paid hours a day Sales position and its a big step up ($$$) from that Cell Phone Company I gave 3+ years too!
I walking at least 2 or 3 miles a day inside this huge store finding and carrying big Computer boxes (sometimes over my head!) past other boxes in the Warehouse, and past other staff behind the counter. I feel stronger already!
Compared to my last job, I move up from 30 hours a week to 47, and from about 10 client transactions a day to more than 50!!!
Oh, I just pulled my 6th shift on this my first week to cover for a sick staff member; I worked 56 hours this week and I feel great!!!
That swanky Convertible I secretly (DOH!) covet is closer than ever...
I re-upped for 12 months here at SG Land, and also sprung for the SG DVD, so let the festivities begin!
