Krispy Kreme is just opening up it's first shop in the province across the parking lot from where I work!

OH, THE HORROR!

Could this be the end of my semi successful Atkins Low Carb lifestyle? I picked up two dozen of the melt-in-your-mouth tasty toruses (torii?) with a free introductory coupon.

As I speak (err, write) this message at 3 am, there are still a half dozen Krispy Kremes in the fridge. The urge to finish them off right now is HUGE!!!!!

No I haven't eaten the other 18 all by myself, I spent a half hour this afternoon giving them out to peeps I know at the mall.

To her credit, Lotus turned them down!

Just a day off full of contemplation...

So, my friend with the heart problems back in Saskatoon doesn't want me to come out and see him - but if his other friend in Calgary (who is also my best friend out here) can come down and see him... My Calgary friend was as speachless about this as I was!

I had a "difference of opinion" with my ailing friend over a business idea two years ago. I suggested mods to his basic business model to increase raw profit over 40% by increasing ad revenue. He had a bad case of "not invented here," and in the end the idea went no where. I guess I didn't take the rejection well, and in the end we stopped talking over it...

I figured since he was dead for 15 minutes before being revived, and that he is now waiting for a quadruple bypass that we'd call a truce - I guess not.

Just goes to show that times of crisis do not always bring out the best in people...

... on the other hand, maybe he is on some excellent meds, and he might not be thinking clearly now...

Waiting to see if we drive my BMW to Saskatoon Wednesday to see my ailing friend. It sucks because its already 11pm Tuesday night.

Compared to a having a Heart Attack, my problems don't rate though...

I'm already working out, but it will take more than the return of my 6 pack abs to get me into a photo shoot!

Lotus told me she was online here months ago when I drove here home from work one night. I never joined for a number of small, silly reasons. (I'm too old, I don't have Ink or Holes, I'm a guy...)

Hearing that a long time friend suffered a serious Heart Attack (at 43) today and lay dead for 15 minutes (he survived) motivates me to get started on the rest of my life!
