Was fairly close to two car accidents today. The one in the morning was somewhat minor. looked like a fender bender that the passenger got a bit bruised and or scraped in. (he was holding his neck and looked a bit roughed up) But the one on the way home was fairly gnarly. Guy spun from the carpool lane to the other side of the freeway and took out a white SUV. The SUV ended up flipping and I can't be certain but I'd put money on it that the driver is either dead or severely fucked up. From what I saw the flip was pretty dramatic and it looked like it landed directly on the drivers side. The windows were busted out and it looked like the top of the car crumpled. Hopefully the driver is alive but things were looking rough for him. I called 911 immediately and reported it but by the time everything evolved I was too far along the road to stop and help. Seeing both of those in the same day bugged me out a bit and I'm alternately thinking about how close that was to being me and also if by some miracle that I'm being looked out for by some higher power. I dunno.
