re: disillusioned frown

read an interesting article in bust magazine the other day:

page 2
page 3
page 4
page 5
page 6

not really all too flattering for SG and itÂ’s head honchos.

but, i guess there are 2 sides to ever story...

i also read about the SG trial concerning the break in by some goofball named chris grant. i read (and at times skimmed) the 500+ pages of testimony. it blows my mind that SG had to waste that much time in what was a pretty clear cut case in my opinion. some idiot was caught with his hand in the cookie jar (i mean how much more evidence did you need) and it took tens of thousands of dollars to slap his hand? well, i guess they didn't help their cause by suing the wrong guy the first time around... shocked

the one thing i don't understand about cgrant was why he bothered to break in, in the first place? from what i read, it sounded like he was a pretty smart guy (at least when it came to programming). if his intention was to be a competitor, he should have just created a similar content management system and not broke into SG. there is nothing on this site that, given a bit of time, would be impossible to reproduce. well... except for the pictures of the lovely ladies.

re: black shirts and deodorant

i wish it was socially acceptable to go around with out a t-shirt on. either that or i should start buying the clear stick again. or... i could always forgo deodorant completely?

now that we're on the topic... why do pits need to give off an odor anyway? and why do they need hair. i prefer hairless pits.

re: boobs

I ended up at a strip club a couple months ago for a friend's birthday. It was on the way home, so we stopped. It really wasn't all that exciting. I mean hooray for oogling naked breasts and all, but to be honest I felt uncomfortable for the girls and for myself. It really seems so degrading. I watched as my friends got a few lap dances and tried to buy me lap dances. I actually paid one girl $20 just to leave me alone. She looked a bit confused, but she took the money anyway. I did end up pocketing about 20 or so free breathe mints from the front counter and admission was free, so I figured I only lost around $19.85 (and a little dignity).

The oddest thing about strip clubs (for me at least) is the whole oogling thing. I make a conscious effort to avoid detection whilst staring at women's boobs in real life, so it's hard to adjust to the fact that in this particular setting it's permissible and in fact encouraged.

Maybe that's why I like SG so much. In (web)space, noone can see you oogle!
