That sucks. You should call Tiffany's. That is not how companies should treat prospective customers.

I agree with Franie.

My ex and I went to a few different Tiffany's looking for a very specific ring. I don't know which one he went to to get it originally but he ended up purchasing something close but I really wanted the right one so we hit up the on in South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa. They didn't have what I wanted, but were decently helpful (it was right before Christmas and the place was packed). When we went to Hawaii for his brother's wedding two weeks later we hit up one there. They were incredibly nice! Totally treated us like we were repeat customers, etc. If I didn't hate that island so much I'd consider going back to buy from them.

Any way, complain. There's no need to be rude to people. Besides they don't know how much money you do or do not have and they could have just fucked themselves out of thousands of dollars.
