What species overpopulates it's environment in such a way as to ruin it because it ignores that there is a finite amount of resources and holds it's own survival above the survival of the environment in which it lives in despite the fact that it needs the environment to survive? We do. Humanity makes the mistake of holding social norms and the status quo above the greater good for it's own prolonged survival. May we learn before it is too late. I don't mean to sound cold but aside from a mass loss of human life I don't see how humanity as a whole and it's environment can continue to survive for any prolonged amount of time. There are many reasons and causes but the root problem lies with our own attitude. Humanity in general is uncomfortable with change in socially awkward or uncomfortable situations and really in life. This topic is difficult to approach for me because I'm a hypocrite of it. I want to have children and yet simultaneously I feel I must discourage population growth in general because it has to happen for the greater good of humanity. Simply put I strictly believe that no matter what if humanity continues to grow and use resources the...
