I really hate commercials on TV that talk about quitting smoking. Why? Because I'm at the 1 month mark of quitting right now. Cold turkey. Quitting cold turkey from cigarettes isn't all that hard if you can keep your mind off cigarettes altogether. There is the odd rage desire for a smoke whenever I'm pissed at something, but overall I hardly think about smoking and thus have no real urge to smoke.
Then there's the joy of commercials.
YOU WILL FAIL AT QUITTING, SO YOU NEED THIS. *insert some crap like Smoke Assassin or Patch or whatever*
Yeah sure thanks, I appreciate the concern(ie your desire for my money) with my gawd awful habit.
Watching the news or Two and a Half Men and getting reminded about cigarettes constantly on the breaks in mind shattering. It is getting to the point where as soon as a break is getting close, I just get up and leave the area so I don't even hear about how I need to quit. I'm half tempted to think that it is a way to get you to smoke more, thus fail more, thus you need to go use some product in order to quit.
Hell writing this makes me want to smoke, but at least I'm getting the irritation of the whole mess off my chest.
