Anyway, my black/thrash/traditional metal band(I know,lot of catergories), Vangeria has a reverbnation page. It's http://reverbnation.com/vangeriametal. There is the other one but that was set up by a former member of the band and I never got the codes for it.
Lately, it's been hard to classify any genres, especially in metal. Sure we all don't like using labels and enjoy using a wide musical pallete in creating music but isn't rather tough saying a band's music is "thrash riffs with atmospheric keyboards, death growls along with female vox to lyrics about fantasy/sci-fi" ?
As for what I'm listening to, I've been listening to some retro bands as of late.

My black metal band, Vangeria has two shows set and ready to play. We do have a new drummer that is working well nicely.

My music career is getting back on track. My black metal band has a new steady line up and is relocated to our singers home where half the band lives which makes transportation easier. We have a new drummer and while he's new, he's a dedicated learner. Of course, it creates the biggest age span with a 41 year old vocalist and our drummer only 17. This isn't the first time and for black metal, the only venues we play tend to be all ages anyway. For my horror punk act, it's coming along and is already breaking into the live circuit.
Two weeks I start on my 4th film called, Santa Vs. Zombies. This is my film companies attempt at making a more kid themed horror, it's sort of at the Goosebumps/Are you Afraid of the Dark level. After that, we move to a more hard line horror film that is yet to be titled.
While that is good, I need to get a new job and soon as the second shift is very limiting but that was the only job I have at the moment.
I'll try to keep updating, and until then, Happy New Year.

Looks like I'll be out of SG fora bit cause of money issues. Perhaps after my first or second paycheck, I'll get back on
Another of my rather rare blogs that only come up during some moment of upheaval. Anyway, no longer with Nightshade. I'm not one to give too much gritty details but let's just say that when it comes to family members in the band, I'm out.
I do like to announce a new band that is in the works that's in the style of Greek black metal such as Rotting Christ, Varathron and Agatus meeting the pagan viking metal of latter Bathory, Wintersun and Primordial.

another seldom blog, anyway I do have a new job. It's a temp but a long term one and a foot in the door to the medical industry,one of the places that still has jobs.
Aside from that I am doing double duties in two bands, Apophrycal Revelation and always, Nightshade. My next show is with Nightshade on April 18th for an outdoor gig. Msg and I'll fill you in on the details.

well happened again but I'm not too discouraged this time around cause it's an affect of the economic situation. Needless to say with the home improvement being off season during a real tough era, I was laid off at Cabinet Masters. Yet I can say that I've gotten more experience and found a calling in E-Marketing.
There is some gloom as I check with some staffing agencies and they have nothing. I'm not talking about only having some 6 buck an hour third shift dirty factory job, I mean nothing.
My data processing company is always hiring and already made some applications, guess I might end up crawling back to them.

the new year is starting off quite well already. I have a gigged lined up for later Feburary that is rather good pay, flat 100 bucks plus a cut of the door along with some food.
Another good thing is seeing Rotting Christ in the next two weeks. I only got a chance to listen to little but after picking up Dead Poem and a friend letting me borrow Non Servium, I'm really getting into them.
Not only that, I'm looking at some late 70's early 80's underground metal such as Manilla Road, Cirith Ungol and Pentagram.

Time to unveil my music promotion company, Nachtengel Promotions. Simply put, many of the "metal" promoters in the area tend to only book their own bands or bands like theirs that falls into the "deathcore" sub genre of metal. To counteract and give those who do not fall into such a category, I've started my own grass roots movement.
