Damn it.... it loooks like I'm my sickly again! Went to the doctor yesterday because I haven't had enough energy to even stay awake and pretty much slept for 2 solid days. Well I worried the nursing staff because my blood pressure was super low 95 over 60 and I was super pale ( it was hard to my freckles ). So the Doctor made take 2 hits of adrianile - which I didn't know came in inhaler form. So took additional blood to send to lab to see what's up.
At the weather for the past few day has been chilly and I haven't missed to much. Last weekend I was an photo taking, monkey climbing, training hopping fool because it was sooo nice out.

Hope everyone is doing well.....

Psss.....please read my last blog if any of you get a chance - especially if you live here in Atlanta. I rarely get on my soap box to rant but this was an actual good one.

This is my soap box rant.....
(The citizens of Atlanta are tired of bad city politics and this was a post from our SG ATLiens thread)

Please note these are my personal thoughts and don't wish to be kicked the shins if any does agree with my thoughts on the matter.....

I'm am one of the few born and raised Georgia Peaches ( hehe ). I grew up in actual town of Powder Springs ( West Cobb Co ), my father worked as a independent inner city truck driver, and my mom was a book keeper. In my early 20's I moved into the city of Atlanta and have been a city dweller ever since. I have seen our APD do amazing work or turn the cheek or down right be abusive/corrupt. I have been "lucky" enough to personally experience all these lovely sides of the APD.
What I realized is every city has all of the same challenges that we have and still manage to do their jobs honorably. Some of our smaller inner city communities really do an incredible job of serving their citizens but we still in general a fail to do so as a city. WHY? I believe it is the lack of leadership in our city government! No one to direct our officials in an actual direction. Our said leader ( ex: our major ) is too busy managing his career to actually tend to the needs of the city. What has he done for the city that has made any sort of impact - note: he has worked on lowering our debt due to our last major touring the globe wearing a ugly fake flower on her business suits. Sadly the cuts in budget have cost us greatly in the area's of Educator's, Fireman, and Policeman. We need the leaders to lead and stop trying to be famous. Try becoming famous by doing the job you were elected to do and do it well. You'll be surprised how things will start to fallen into place.

*** Note: This years total useless waste of city money goes to re-en-statement of the Anti-Graffiti Task Force. We Graffiti Artist have always followed the invisible list of Rules that APD "put out there" for us. Mr. Major has decided that our cities Graffiti has to go and is wasting 30,000 this first fiscal quarter on painting over said works - which not all pieces were painted because some group decided it was acceptable art. Since the major is so out of touch with our urban artist he is turning way many amazing artist that have been coming to the city for years. Atlanta wants Art but only on their terms.... sad!
Benefits of Graffiti that some don't think about...
- We makes boarded up buildings/abandoned become something better than an eye sore.
- By having taggers in abandoned zones the homeless population is lower...they get tired of being bother by taggers working around them so they move somewhere else.
- The city actually is known for its kickass Graffiti Artist. We have artist travel here to do there work and most of the time stay during festival season selling art.
- Actual Graffiti artist police their own groups...
- Every Graffiti Artist I know covers up all found gang tags. The city is for everyone not just for bullies with bandanna and spray cans.
........I can go on and on.
So for you HOME OWNER ASSOCIATIONS folks <----- Don't move into an area that isn't cookie cutter perfect! That is what the suburbs are for - the city is a living breathing thing that is moving all the time. For those of us who chose to move somewhere that isn't polished/perfect we don't like you guys pushing this "perfect living" down OUR throats. Sorry your money can fix it all!

Personally I'm looking forward to the summer when the air will be filled with sounds of little taggers moving about wagging an artist war!

Don't waste money on paint over paint!

It's looking like I might actually get to have my very own Art Gallery/Studio! My boss is thinking about taking this the new space that he rented and letting me run my own Art Studio. It's all because of all that crazy training Best Buy threw at me for 13yrs has totally paid off in a small business setting! Plus he wants me to at least teach a few art classes for all the kids that are in a entire working circle ( that includes our studio kids, friends of our contract crew and the kids of the staff from his dad's medical clinic ) at least 1 once a month!

Hell.....I would hold classes every Saturday or Sunday to all the kids that wanted to come ( no matter what their income level ). It's sad that kids are no longer taught art in school and don't have a way to express themselves creatively! Art is the most amzing way to explore your mind! I believe that everyone can be an artist - just like everyone can dance!
<---Note: if YOU enjoyed creating a piece of art it's prefect - now everyone might not want to hanging in their living room but it's about your journey.
<--- Dancing has the same concept - if your having a good time shank'n you booty then your dancing then shake your money maker. Note: Usually the people that commenting on your dancing style are almost always the one standing againist wall - to scare to get out there and dance. It's about you having a good time to songs/sounds/beats that you like!

Well I'm crossing my fingers that this actually happens! I've always dreamed owning my record store but never thought that I would actually have the chance anytime to run my very own gallery!

Today I have ( almost ) finished 2 new pieces of new art work!
The fronts of the canvas' are complete, I just need to put the finishing touches on the sides and back. That gives me 4 totall finished pieces except that I have given the first 2 small pieces away. It went to 2 people that have really helped me get back into my artistic groove! Especially since I have not started or came close to doing any kind of art in 20 years! <<---- yes, I'm a old lady!
I had forgotten how peaceful it was to sit and create! Hoping that in the next month or so I can proudly hang my pieces upon the wall of a small gallery/art center. Luckly it will be the new center that I'm currently setting up and designing. Hopefully it will take off even though it is here in Marietta....but I learned alot my skills growing up not to far from here. I'll be teaching art one maybe two days a week to kids and any others that wish to learn.

It's amazing that when I decided to step away from my corp. career and take on my own creative career that things would turn out soooooo amazing!

I truely hope that everyone else is having a good start to this year like I have!
** Thank You to who-ever has blessed me with this crazy chance!! **

Wow!
My life is truly a living soap opera but thankfully with better actors! Sooo..... many things have changed I'm not sure where to begin! Everything seems to have some crazy back story that may need to be told so thing could possibly make some sort of sense.
Haha! tongue biggrin surreal whatever
Luckily for you folks I'm running a bit short on time so I'm going to try to summarize things the best I can and feel free to randomly ask questions....

Health... As many of you know I've been seriously having issues with my Thyroid to the point that it seriously almost killed me almost a year ago ( strange to think it's almost a full year to the date ). I have lost a total of 58 pounds and look a good bit different than most people remember me as - a average PBR drinking gal to the size/shape I was at 25!!! After spending way to time moving thru the Grady Health System - no insurance to find out they can't figure out what's wrong but is ok with it because I've stabilized! "GO Health Care!" Now I have found a local and amazing General Practitioner that is determine to figure my lil' health puzzle!

Career.....

SPOILERS! (Click to view)

I'm no longer with Best Buy after 13 years! Currently it looks like I will have to fight to get my benefits since I was somehow dismissed while on personal/medical leave.

Currently I'm working as a Project Manger on two different style studios! I'm pretty much working almost all the time but can't seem to get enough! They are great with working around my weirdo health issues and he provides almost free health care! It looks like I will be working with them for at least 2 years just to finish my current scope of work and they keep adding more projects soooo maybe even longer.

Wealth.... I'm still broke but ok. My expenses have almost disappeared since I have been working on this studio project. Due to a changes in contractor/lease agreements with my main studio, I have been working at our Delk Studio a lot and driving all over --- > The office has been covering almost all of my car costs and even giving me gas money! Company cell, they always like to keep us feed, and I'm doing the live/work space No Rent! Awesome!! The down side is that my actually pay is a bit lower since they cover sooo much to be on call all the time and pay checks are random.

Love....no even going to start the spin off soap opera series that I call my love life! I happy and it's been along time since I have felt loved.....

Art....i LOVE my Camera! Everything seems to have a story that I have bee capturing little by little while I stalk the city for graffiti! Recently I have began to draw and paint again - I don't think that I can explain the intense joy I feel while I creating a piece. It was a feeling I thought I would never feel again!

Family Life.... I longer have any contact with my Ex-wife Natalie. < Hell is actually a great vacation place compared to how things were left between us. > Thus my relationship with the kids is terribly fractured and I'm unsure how things will turn out in in the future towards our relationship. Now that the boys are 18 & 20 Im leaving it up to them if they still want me to be a part of their lives. I will always love them and I without question always still be there for them.

Life.... I turned my entire world upside down and I HAVE NO REGRETS! It has been a crazy ride and I'm still wanting more!

This is just a few crazy changes the past few months have tossed my way!

Simply Happy.......

Wealth.... Still broke but happy!

WOW! WOW! WOW!

AS of the past couple of weeks I have been on a SELF imposed Leave of Absence from work to try and sort my life, health, and brain out! One of things that I have been thinking of doing is seriously taking a major leap of faith and work on my Art Career.
Yep....leaving my job of 13yrs to be a free lance artist!
~~ Crazyness! I know!! ~~
Well FATE and FAITH have decided to grace me with an amazing opportunity! Recently I bumped back into an old friend of mine ( from my club days ) and we have been talking about alot different projects to work on together! Yesterday morning he tells me to meet him at this venue that we are going to record a friends band and he needed help setting up! I get there he shows me the place - which is serious awesome - and then asks what I think of it! I respond that it will be a great place to record and love the crazy layout of this classic Theater! Nexted he asked me what I was planning on doing - and I respond helping you! With a crazy grin he asked if I really like the place - of course I do because I love quirky places - and asked if I'll "Hold the Fort Down"! I look at him kind of crazy - laughs and says " If you think you could live here it would help me a lot! " WHATWHATWHAT! It slowly sinks in and I begin bouncing around like a total idiot!!! It has always been a dream of mine to have a live/work space and then get the chance to be a part of music studio / community theater makes it a million times better!
Fate and Faith.....

I'll post some photo's soon!
Thank you to everyone that has been sending me all of the insanely great vibes/wishes/thoughts - what-ever it may have been that has made this happen!
