Snow. In October. Something is wrong about this. I went to Home Depot on Saturday just to check out kitchen cabinets and walked past where the snow blowers should have bee. Here they sold out of them????? October. Only two inches of snow and they sold out of snow blowers. People are weird. Went back home. Made soup. Had bourbon. Life is good.

First an earthquake now preparing for a hurricane. All in the same week. Gotta get batteries and bourbon.
Took Amtrak for the first time in about 15 years today. Nice train, comfortable, slept a bit and made it to Washington DC in only two hours. The cabs in DC are awesome. Polite, clean drivers and immaculate cabs are the norm. Looking forward to good dinner tonight and then interesting, to say the least, work tomorrow. If I get a chance ... a nice museum!
Well I just finished four (4) days of grueling classes for work. I'm happy to say I passed and have ereceived today two (2) valuable certifications. Thankfully.
Tonight I picked up a rental car. A brand new, 2011 Hyundai something. It is a full size car. Nice and roomy, great looking interior and it has a satellite radio.
Tomorrow morning I leave for Richmond, VA. Five hour drive might be pretty good with satellite radio. I come back Monday in time for Valentines Day dinner.

Allright it was a good Super Bowl. I would have preferred the Steelers but not emotionally invested in them. The party though....wow...an annual party at my cousin with so much great food. I made chili as usual and everyone seemed to like it. My cousin's husband bought me a bottle of Knob Creek bourbon a few years ago to add to his liquor cabinet. Thank you! and thankyou to all the people at their parties throughout the year who do not drink bourbon. Thank you very much for saving it for me.

Snowing again. Calling for 2 - 4 inches. Panic has already set in. Roads are filled with accidents. I'm going to make chicken soup and get rid of this cold!
Alright it snowed. I went to work at 6:30 AM and it was snowing. Took the train downtown and from then on I am never outside (my building has an entrance from the train station which is underground. Sweet!) I saw snow from the windows. We never got over an inch. Accidents all over the place. I listened to the radio incredulouslyat all the accidents on the highway. We never got an inch and it all blew away!!!
People cannot drive. It is embarrassing. I got home and my neighbor complained about the storm. STORM?!?!?! I threw what little snow I could find at her. Bitch.
