Got back late last night from a week in Atlantic City for a job related convention. It was not a total waste but AC is nto the exciting town it is in the summer or on the weekends, Lots of places close during the week (only one or two buffets are open) most of the night clubs are closed until the weekend, lots of tables and slots are roped off. Apparantly the town is wild and open at tehis time of year ont he weekends but in a few weeks it will br round the clock fun!

Yesterday (Thursday) was spent in Bel Air, MD for work. The temperature was 70 degrees. Beautiful day. Rejuvenating day. Next two (2) weeks going back to Maryland, looking forward to more great weather.
Today is the big game. The best part will be the awesome quantities of great food (I am contributing the chome made chili I must bring every year) I haven't eaten since friday in preparation for this event! The betting pool will make a few people a good bit of cash.

We had snow yesterday. Took me all of 15 minutes to shovel it. Do I reeally need to spend hundreds ona snow blower for one to three uses a year and then have to store it all year?
Joe Paterno died. No matter what good he did for 62 years at Penn State all his obituaries will begin and end with the sex abuse scandal. The biggest shame today, January 22, 2012 and today only is his academic legacy. His players graduated. He supported the library to the tune of close to $4 million dollars. His players went to class and took their own tests. And he won a few games and a couple of national titles. Not too shabby.

Well I got most of the Christmas decorations down and packed away. Tomorrow the tree and finished till next year!
Happy New Year to all.
I spent the weekend seeing two films. Warhorse - an awesome film. Spielberg is at the top of his game. A wonderful, beautiful work. Then, The Debt - a decent little film with Helen Mirren. The rest of the time was spent eating. Way too much.
