Miami and Minnesota are SO very different.

Visited my lady last weekend.
Another wonderful trip, but with the added bonus of snow.
I had never seen it before.

I mean, sure, I slipped on ice twice and that sucked, but still, awesome.

Last weekend was awesome.
My girl came down from MN and we had a great 4 days together.
We went to a bunch of places and ate way too much.
And of course our alone time was pretty awesome, too.
Anyway, took too many pics, and still don't fully understand my new phone, but here are a few:
A place called Matheson Hammock on South Miami:
Went to the Everglades (where we were about a foot away from a pretty big alligator, but he was too shrouded in shadows for a good pic.
A place called Biscayne National Park:
Oh and Jungle Island. Love that place.
Was that a goat?
Anyway, adjusting to the real world after she left has sucked. Duh.

I am ashamed.
So I'll tell you that I just read a great book, "Blackbirds" by Chuck Wendig.
Very dark and cool and edgy and violent and, yeah, cool.
And I'll tell you that despite my aversion to the growly vocals you kids are all excited about, I'm really digging "One For Sorrow", the latest CD from Insomnium.
Insomnium is a great name, innit?
Yes.
I'm looking forward to "The Dark Knight Rises".
I'm looking forward to "The Amazing Spider-Man".
But I think I'm actually even more looking forward to "Brave".
