Yo y'all!

My account is comin' near close, and I'm not seeing many reasons to stop the cancellation.

Doing lots of sound (at the Red Sea and the Varsity Theater) and doing lots of playing of musics (with Pandora's Box Cutter and the High Crimes). On stage at the Cause tomorrow (Tuesday, 9.20.11), Lee's Liquor Lounge on Thursday (9.22.11), Portland Lakehouse on October 1st (F'yeahFreeHouseParties--messageme for an addy if interested), Zombie Pub Crawl on October 8th (behind the Red Sea), and some things, like, later. Come out 'n visit.

I hope you all are enduring and pleasing yourselves appropriately!

Much Love,

Woah!

So, movin' to Lake 'n Portland, just joined The High Crimes as the new bass player, setting up recording time for Pandora's Box Cutter in the middle of June, and booked two festivals (Cannon Valley Fair and something in Wall Lake, IA) for the beginning of July. Working at the Varsity has been going great, and I'm learning lots and meeting some really cool peeps.

Did sound for this chick just a couple weeks ago:

Hey y'all dolls! Taggin' in to drop the noise:

We (Pandora's Box Cutter) get to vibrate all music-makin' like at Palmer's with the mutha-f'in Sex Rays!!!!!!!! and these wildstalliony troupe-a-gogs named Bollywood!! My love of Palmer's, the west bank, and crazyfun, be damned; I just wanna dance!

This is soooooo close, my nips are on the tickle! (next thursday, MARCH 31st)

Also, workin' faders, knobs, 'n some stagery at the Varsity now. I'm soooooooouper excited for some wicked awesome travelling voices in my weekly norm.

I'll be bustin' 4 more shows out before the middle of june: 4.23 @ the Red Sea, 5.6 @ the Acadia w/ Imaginary Jack, 5.29 @ the Kitty Cat Klub w/ the Further Adjustments, and 6.11 @ Mayslacks w/ Kurt Vatland.

this life or no life
kisses

Ok, you sexy biahes!

Been doin' the music and livin' thing here in the Twits as hard as I can lately. Pandora's Box Cutter performed at Nick & Eddie November 29th and the Acadia Cafe on December 19th. We're still a duo, but plan on adding more kickassers, and especially a killer bassist. (Know anybody?) This is a vidya version of The Nevermen, one of the newbies to our setlist. Add us on fb er myspace er somethin'.

In between January snow digouts and humdrum workery, come find us at the Medusa on the West Bank (20th) and Cause Spirits & Soundbar in Uptown (25th). The Medusa show is a b-day party for my close friend Dale, a Wienery legend and chef extraordinaire, and will feature many groups, including Pandora's Box Cutter and WestBank god Cadillac Kolstad. If you've never been to the Medusa, prepare to eschew the normalcy you get at most other bars in downtown Minneapolis. The Cause gig is a mass crossover show: reggae, acoustic pop, r&b, hiphop, folkpunk...somethin' for you, and you, and you, and you, and you....Lemme know if you have any questions!

Other than music, the passing of the last year makes me feel glad about aging. Lost, gained, let go, let in. Don't give up finding out about yourself, peeps! (shoutout to gma margey, aunt sharon, and annamarie)

Checkachecka-1-2!

Yep, checks and balances, once more those two things reach levels of beguiled lethargy ambivalent enough to boobs and 50 bucks and resetting passwords and calling sg and banks that I'm still membered. woah.

Maybe I'll take up nuding myself this year, and actually make something of my paid space here.

Yo, SG world! Been a gripping grip! Gotten into some musical riffraff's since last we blogged: Aphrodisiaddicts, Pandora's Box Cutter, Message Head, and the High Crimes. Minnesota be damned!

Supper is a continuous hotel buffet.

On the road with the Jimmy Dorsey Orchestra, doin' the board tinkling. The midwest is bigger than people think. We've hit IL, IA, MN, and SD so far. CO, WY, KS, MO, and NE to go. Scrunched into my green pillow, I usually don't sleep until the bus starts vibrating. The air cleans up the act of it. A trip doesn't quite tag us; maybe the bottled water should. Noise gets quick, in-ear monitoring the situation. All my honeys breathe good in the sweat.

A keep, forsake.

Tiddlywinks. This word sounds like jingling. Things around here seem pretty bouncy lately. Change is breathing in everybody's ear, and not that sexy tickle. An intoxicatingly wet slop across the conscious, sloven and articulate, explosively sublime, easin' our way home. This is what we wanted. What you wanted.

Locals: In a new band, Stratagem Wile, and takin' numbers out and about. Playin' Trocaderos two Thursdays from now (March 19th) with some decent acts, my favorite a soul gut blues band, Steve Sullivan and The Factory. This group actually made me remember this totally beautiful songwriter (Lars Din) I had a chance to record in Gainsville last summer while on tour with Hayduke Lives!. If any of y'all get out in the melting Minnesota spring, look out for the new tunage. Also, I'll be trying to book some more Message Head shows, and bringin' some of the accompanying merch (I have two cds, dudes). Hopefully the summer itch will get us all here soon.

Bloop.

Freezing Tw'City Balls. Where's the local Holy-Fuck-My-Skin-Turned-Blue dance-'til-you-drop? Let's get on this. And candy flavored cash money. (More sweet warmbread).

Yip. Like we didn't hear that. The nervousness accompanying auditory consolidation and elastic self-effacing precepts coins itself; then we watch someone else do it. Widen the bell.

Playing the Acadia Cafe (West Bank) with some weirdos tomorrow (1.15.08, 8PM-12AM). The show is lovingly titled "The Freakiest Show on Earth" and should include drama the likes of which no dramaturgist could ever expel. So, it'll be good 'n stuff. Donations only, of course.

Also, planning on a few more shows in the upcoming months. What 'Cits venue should I do (with my bulbous guitar head, pervs!)? A few kids wanna start bands, so mayb's on a louder than just my loudassvoice project starting. But I don't need much: just a chick with a good voice and great Bass/Keyboard/Synth fingers (folktojazztorock). And water. I totally appreciate and enjoy water.

PS.
How does the internet advertising takeover feel? Proprietary player ad scripts....built-in to playback!? Limited watch times on mega servers? Anyone else feel like imaginary valuation of cyber-real estate is not the way to open our collapsing capitalistic society to meaningful technological advancement?
