Hello again, one and all
It has been almost two weeks since I started to put my life into boxes, sadly I am not moving out, but I am happily giving my bedroom a full redecoration. I have pretty much got everthing boxed up now, removed all unneccessary shelving, and I am currently going through my clothes trying to get rid of what I no longer wear.
Ontop of that, I have seen Hellboy II: The Golden Army, which I personally enjoyed. It was not a great film but it was still entertaining...other than another film I saw...The X-Files: I Want To Believe. Oh my god I will never want to see that film again, it had no X-Files flare, despite the old team all being involved and for that not only was I bored but also very dissapointed.
Also I am now very proud to say I have seen The Dark Knight for the second time, this time at Vue in The O2 which is the proud owner of the biggest cinema screen in Europe (the screen I saw it on), and I will complete my hat trick by seeing at IMAX later this month. I cannot wait
This week has also been a busy work week, already, but I will leave that til the weekend
So until then

And so it begins...
Firstly I would like official jump onto the bandwagon, The Dark Knight is AMAZING, even if it is not your type of film do not deny yourself of seeing Heath Ledger as The Joker as is it as good as people have been saying.
Now that's over and done with...
Today is the first day of many where I am putting my life into boxes, sadly not to move, but excitingly so I can wrip my room down and start on the full redesign.
I cannot wait to get started

Once again, hello one and all
I was look for new beds online today, as I will be redecorating my room soon, and I can across this one:

I love it, I think it looks so stylish and damn sexy, but it costs £650???
What do you guys think, too much, or not too bad for bed like that?
Kind Regards
David

Hello one and all
Here is a rant brought to you by David Hodgson
I have been single for so long now it is becoming a real downer on my life, I've only really found two or girls I have really fallen for and felt it could go places, as well as having others I just thought "dating them would be cool" or "I would LOVE to have sex with her".
Over the past 3-4 years I have gone after these few girls, tried to play games (as annoyingly girls only seem to want to date you if you seem uninterested in them WTF???), others I have been upfront with my feelings towards them.
One girl pretty much turned me down cause I wasn't a skinny emo, another because I was too forward about how I felt, and you know what I don't care.
I am who I am, I do not want to be skinny, but I am going to the gym as often as possible because I want to lose weight, get fit, and tone up my body so I am happy with the way I look. About being to upfront about my feelings, I'd rather show that I like someone so they know they will have my love and I will care for them, than pretending I don't give a shit. I never don't give a shit, most of the girls I fall for are my friends, and to me my friends are my family so acting as if I don't care...pfft...not going to happen it's just not in my nature.
If only I could write songs without being stoned, I'm sure I could have made this into a kickass song, or atleast a poem
Oh well, rant over, night all
Kind Regards
David

Hello one and all
I went to New York City, came back happy that I have been there and seen what I have seen, but was not wowed by the city. Saying that I would like to go back there, for a long weekend, with a group of friends.
While there I got a few items, including a PlayStation 3, as it works out to be about £80 cheaper.
The flights there and back was not bad, as I flew with Delta International, and was able to pick what I watch. So overall I watched six films: Horton Hears A Who!, National Treasure 2, Golden Compass, Jumper, The Bucket List and finally Fool's Gold. Each film done it's job, by helping the time pass, and shockingly I did not think any of them was aweful.
The hotel room was nice, comfortable bed, but it did not have a single wardrobe wtf??? lol
I sadly have work tomorrow and I am still a bit jetlagged. With these longer brighter days and the late Euro 2008 football matches that have been on, I have really lost track of time, and before I know it it's midnight.
Fingers crossed I will be ok tomorrow, and this week goes quickly, as the first day/week back to work after your holidays suck.
I have put up a few pictures up from my trip, but only the ones that were small enough to be loaded, if anyone knows how to compress picture files PLEASE let me as sadly my favourite pictures always seem to be too big to load up
Kind Regards
David

Hello one and all
This week so far has been a really quiet week at work, which is nice, it means I can sort out what needs to be sorted out for my holiday and I can go down the gym for a couple of hours.
It's a Danish Bank Holiday tomorrow too, which often means we only work half a day, so here's hoping
lol
I cannot wait for this week to be over.
On Saturday I am going to see Stephen Lynch, on which I believe is his first ever London gig, so I cannot wait for that.
Then on Sunday I will be packing for 7 nights trip to New York City, I am SO excited, but there is SO much to see. If anyone could offer any advice that would be wicked. Also if anyone fancies meeting up and going to bar that would also be awesome.
My last night in New York I will be in Maidison Square Garden seeing Iron Maiden live, I couldn't believe I was able to get tickets to a MSG show, let alone Maiden
SO EXCITED...I know, I'm a dork...ah well :p
Kind Regards
David

Another weekend and another movie marathon
These weekends three films (which I have seen for the first time) were:
Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street
I loved this film, by far the best of the three films I watched today, and one I look forward to watching it again.
Johnny Depp, as always, was an amazing and I was very impressed with his singing. It had a rock vocalist feel to it which I think suited the psycho aspect of the character.
The scene where Miss Lovett sings about her dream life with Todd is superb, the lighting and colouring is brilliant, then the uninterested expressions/mannerisms of Todd throughout it were also amazing.
The Golden Compass
Now I have always felt that the Harry Potter series have been crap adaptations, with appalling acting, and unnecessarily missed bits of story but somehow it still makes a good entertaining film.
The Golden Compass was just SHIT, the acting was great, the demons and everything else looked Superb. Now we've come to the story...well if you can call it that...firstly the film starts half way through the book, then it tells the story in the dumbest order, and to top that off they cut the whole fucking ending (which is also the most important bit) of the story out WTF!?!?!?
Finally Rob Zombie's Halloween
I thought this film was great. The whole back story into Michael was brilliant, especially his obsession with masks making, and the background into Loomis and Michael's relationship were bits I feel really added to making this true re-imagination of an already great film.
I am a huge fan of Rob Zombie, his artwork, his music, his directing style (both music videos and films), and his script writing. I hope he finds another project soon.
I hope you all had fun weekends
Kind Regards
David

This Bank Holiday weekend has some ups and sadly quite a few lows.
I went out Friday night, straight after work, with some friends at London's O2 Dome. Everything was going really well, got a nice level of drunkeness, and spoke to loads of random people throughout the night. Then some sort of fight kicked off between my friends (which I can't remember), I was violently pushed into a metal gate, which cracked my head open and left me with a very mild concussion.
Saturday I spent most of the day trying to remember the night before, getting my head together, and going to the hospital. Then not letting such a silly thing like a mild conussion to get in my way, my friends invited me out to go and see the new Indiana Jone movie, so I couldn't say no.
I really enjoyed the film, I felt it had the same flair as the original films, and despite whatever people say I personally did not find the whole alien thing too much. After all, he has been on adventures for Ark of the Covenant, and the Holy Grail. So aliens isn't so much of stretch.
Yesterday I had quite a lazy day, done the weekly dusting and general todying of my room, caught up with televisions programmes which I have downloaded. Then having a curry with my drunken parents after they got back from a family do (which I was not invited to)...that was kind of an amusing evening meal
Now today I am updating my CV, while I rewatch Torchwood Season 2, so I can start to look for another job as sadly I will not be getting offered a full-time contract due to business cut-backs.
That probably came off a bit ranty but hey which Blog doesn't lol

I have Lost 1.6 stone - 10 Kg - 22 lbs...
...Yes, that's right.
I have been going to the gym [and have improved my diet] over the past couple and it has all seemed to have paid off.
I have lost a considerable amount of weight, maybe more [as I haven't way myself since December '07/January '08], and I am starting to get defining figure tones in the muscle areas I have been working out.
Soon I will become so happy with my figure that I will so become a male-cam-whore, maybe with more tatts and piercings, and try out for the SuicideBoys - oh the dream - lol
