Yesterday my five month old little boy rolled over, twice! I had put him on his tummy for tummy time, left the room for a sec, and asked his big sis to watch him. When I came back, he was in a different spot on the blanket, when I asked her about it she said "Oh he rolled over, but it is Tummy Time, so I put him back." After less than 30 seconds he did it again, and giggled in delight at his own cleverness. smile

Getting in shape after baby feels incredible! Last night weight training lower body with the lovely M. Today Kundalini yoga with my daughter by my side. I feel like I could fly!

We are taking our first ever trip to Hawaii in Sept. with the kids, on a cruise. lol. First non working (ie: comic con) vacation in 7 years.

Am reading a nifty book on design and composition and it has really shown why many of my compositions in both painting and comics do not work. I'm really grateful for that.

Everything is changing, and it feels great! biggrin

Some light plays across your skin illuminating and dancing on the surface. Afternoon light is my favorite light. the perfect balance of warm and cool. Skin -all colors- is enlivened by the glowing gentleness.
This is the light in which I wish to draw you. To take color soft gentle and wet and sculpt with line and form the "You" I see through my eyes. Whether bone or soft undulating voluptuous flesh, this light will play across it, the sun high enough to cause glances up and squints. hair will glisten, the color dancing in fine filaments. We are most equal when naked. I paint you as best I can, I watch your body rise and fall with each breath. Expressions flickering across your face, as the last light that pure luminescent light travels above the window and away.
The evening brings sad sexy melancholy tonight. Blue and crisp, pregnant with rain that has not fallen. My bones ache. the joints swelling and hurt.
Curves and lines are traipsing through my mind. The beauty of all people. Some who cannot see it in themselves and resent it in others, still, they have it inside. the gorgeous decay. We make the rules, we choose to accept some, reject others. Our bits scrutinized by all. beneath our clothes we are soft and lovely. Our bodies made to survive, thrive, give life, and in short time to wither. the process shocking in the changes made. I see myself and others with compassion when I think of the mortal flesh under the armor we put on. So sacred and tender.
We do not have to fit in the so very narrow parameters of beauty set by our culture. Enjoy your flesh, see your body as the vessel it is. Find your inner glow, and let that come through. Oh how I wish I could take each and every person aside, and whisper of the beauty tell them of the sparkle in their eyes, let them feel the sweet gentleness of acceptance.
Please, do something to honor your beauty, and that of those around you. Be free with real compliments, and admiration. Find communion in sharing beauty.
Fill yourself with wildness. Remember those long ago dreams before you were told that is not the path for you. Just because there are brambles and branches, does not mean it is closed, you only need look. See into that wild nature, through that forest, jungle, or mirror to the deep places of soul. Bring yourself forward. Revel in you exquisite nature, the gift we have. Bring the life back, or if already present, show someone else the life they wish for.
The night is here, these words are trite, but they are mine. The morning will bring travel for me. It will also be the time of light and dreaming of all of the bruised confused beautiful souls out there, of which I am one.

Aw such kind coments. Thanks guys! I will try and post a far more interesting entry later. This is a short entry, just to get the other to go away. The sun is shining, and the everything looks a wee bit brighter today. Such a pretty shade of blue for the sky as well.
I took some pics, and will post them later.
Am zooming along on the comic book. Also designed the covers for my main project yesterday, so work is going swimmingly.
Talk with you soon! *hugs* love

Icky nasty tiff with my drunk mother. grr. She came in slurred speech and all. I said that she had promised not to spend her life at the bar, and that is where she is every night. She got this hate filled look on her face, rolled her eyes and said "Ya know what, I'm not ever going to be good enough for you am I." Then put up her hands and walked out the door. Sadly, the answer is no... probably not.

I hope she has somewhere safe for a night, but I give her a home. She throws it away.

In other news I died my hair it's somewhere between raspberry and blackberry. I love it. Will post a pic tomorrow.

ergh my heart feels bleeding and raw.

dyed and snipped at my hair, been super duper ill, and starting to get better. smile
In brief that is all that is going on.
I read The Bell Jar yesterday and Sandman Endless Nights. Reading trade paperbacks, and graphic novels work really well to get back into drawing. We've watched a lot of moviessuch as Salem's Lot, Triplets of Bellville, which I was not fond of, other than the beautifully done animation, and the one nice song. Shaun of the Dead- which was great fun. Tonight I will watch the dvd of the first "L" word, which I am looking forward to.
Today it has been getting back to an editor for a magazine piece. tomorrow I shall actually venture out of the house and meet with a writer yay!
Hope everyone is well and happy. kiss

I feel blissful today like an inner peace is surrounding me. The work is still there, waiting. Today though I am keeping a tiny light of hope and stillness burning in my heart.
