Wizard LA was poorly attended, but fun - caught up with James and Selket and that was enough fun for me - also met Steve Prue again - a very nice guy and a great photographer. (he didn't shoot this - his are better)

When a cop shoots an unarmed man in Hollywood - the cop uses a "drop piece". To make the shoot look "good".

A perfect example of this was the rapist that Bud White shot in the film adaptation of LA Confidential. He was sitting in his boxers, eating cereal in front of the TV watching cartoons. Bud sent him to hell, put a gun in the guy's hand - and voila - you're off the hook.

I wonder if the Neocons ever saw that flick? Would public opinion have been swayed if we somehow dug up some weapon that we had planted? Probably not. It's hard to even consider the possible mistakes made leading up to the Iraq war when there are so many other glaring cock ups. The failure to bring along something for a front page photo op seems stupid now - but no more or less stupid than nearly every decision that was made regarding Iraq.
