I think I've assigned myself too much to do on my mandatory week off:

1. Finish Christmas present for my mother-out-law with these fabrics:



2. Clean the entire apartment before new roommates move in.
3. Bake a banana bread cake for decorating class Thursday (recreating best friend's sister-in-law's wedding cake that she didn't get to have a slice of).
4. Bake a couple of things for my sister for Family Weekend at her school this week.
5. Finish the owl bib for another best friend's son, using this owl pattern.

I tested out how I was going to do it. His belly and wings will use scraps from the leaf fabric I used as the focus fabric in the pillows I made her for her wedding.

6. Take the car to the mechanic.
7. Take New Cat to the vet. Little bastard is sneezing again.
8. Hang out with my father-out-law and take him to have lunch with the boyfriend.
9 . Lunch with best friend at her work.
10. Get my place rekeyed because I do worry nutsy will try to come back -- and get keys to new roommates.
11. Turn in my recycling.
12. Take a load to Salvation Army, including my margarita/martini glasses (unless someone here wants them, in which case, ping me ASAP).







13. Make a pumpkin roll cake thing for the guy at work. I tried this last year for roxymonosense's Halloween party and it didn't want to come out of the pan so it was a sheet cake instead. I like to think I'm a year wiser and better equipped to make this happen.

I haven't done shit today but read quilting blogs. I'm pretty sure I want to attempt this possibly as a wedding present for boyfriend's good friend that I simply adore. She teaches at Azusa Pacific (I think?). I'm not sure how they haven't caught on that she's probably not the best for a Christian school, lol, but I love hearing her talk about how clueless her students are.

I want to make this apron minus the upper ruffle for the best friend's Christmas present in this fabric.

I am going to buy some Christmas fabric to make these birdies as ornaments, but especially one for the annual cookie party I go to. The ladies used to exchange ornaments, so I thought I'd just attach one to my gift. This year's theme is flora. I bought a bunch of cooking stuff with Christmas plants on it. I'm hoping to find a small rosemary tree as the focal point, but if not, it's cool.

I also want to buy some of this, to what end I don't know, but it's just so damn cute!
