As promised here is the mega blog documenting my extended celebrations of the fact that I am not 30 yet.
The celebrations began with a pub crawl. I think all the best celebrations should. We managed to visit 14 pubs. I failed to stick to my rule of only 1 drink per pub as people forced me (possibly at gun point) to have more. Thank you to everyone who came out, I had an incredible time even if I don't remember parts of it.
Extra thanks to those who turned up late and made a determined effort to catch up

No thanks to those who made me drink tequila with the lemon from my fish and chips. Turns out the one thing brown sauce doesn't go with is tequila, who'd have thunk?

The next weekend Kai and I went down to my parents to force them to ply us with alcohol and good food.
Before we left Kai gave me my presents.

An awesome laptop bag, a cute USB stick in a tape cassette box with tunes that remind her of me and a mouse for my laptop.
At my parents there was lamb, red wine and cake. There should always be cake.

This was obviously all quite tirning so me and Ben took a nap to recharge our batteries.

On the Monday I dragged my long suffering accomplice into Brighton to check out the record stores. I made sure the cakes in Grints were still good and we both spent too much money on music. The last time I had been into Brighton Edgeworld Records had been closed so in my delight at finding it open this time I donated a sizeable chunk of money to them. Check out Betty and the Werewolves
Back in London and my accomplice and I went to see The Vaselines at the Scala. They are really a favourite of Kai's but I really enjoyed the show. She's not allowed to accuse me of liking too much indie any more either. It was also nice to go to a show where people didn't spend the whole time talking loudly to their friends and filming the whole thing.

Later that week we went to our favourite restaurant, Buen Ayre in Hackney. The sidekick and I love this place. The food is incredible, the wine brilliant and the helpings generous. It's not for vegetarians though. Steak, steak and more steak please with a dash of blood pudding.

My celebrations were finally closed at the weekend with a few days in Brugge. I went with my Dad, his Brother and his son and my two sisters boyfriends. Lads away
It really is the most beautiful city and I can't way to go back. Plus the beer was ok

We closed the weekend with a trip to watch FC Brugge defeat KAA Gent. Good fun all round.

So next year. when I'm of indeterminate age, I have to top all of that. It will be fun trying.
Edit. Grr - pictures are too big

It feels like I've been celebrating not being 30 for 3 solid weeks now. I think this weekend is the end of the events though. Epic blog detailing my adventures will follow soon.
Adventures will include:
What I remember of my pub crawl
Dinner with family
Record shopping with the better half
The Vaselines
Argentinian foodie goodness
Brugge
Carcassonne
Possibly other things that I have forgotten but my P.A (
) will have remembered.
There will also be pics as soon as I can steal them.
Until then I will leave you with the good news that all 3 football teams that I care about are in the top 3 of their respective leagues. I'm sure that excites all of you.

What doesn't kill me can only make me stronger.
Doesn't feel like it right now.
Technically I'm not sure that saying really works for alcohol.

It has been a while eh?
Not much has been going on, working a little, slacking a lot.
The football season has started again (the proper football season, not the premiershite which I am aware started a few weeks ago) and me and my Dad went to see the mighty Hassocks FC defeat Farnham Town in the preliminary qualifying round of the FA Cup. 5 goals and a punch up, proper entertainment.
Our season on Sundays started this week as well. 4-3 wins for both the first team and the seconds. Good day all round.
Looking forward to my epic birthday pub crawl this weekend. Not looking forward to cleaning the house so that people can sleep here but I am sure it will all be worth it. Hopefully 17 pubs wont kill me. It will good to see lots of you lot as well

Some things I can watch again and again. Probably number one is this
It is the length of time the fullback is going the wrong way that makes it.
What little things make even the worst days bearable?

I feel like I should write a new post but I haven't really done very much recently. I've played a lot of Football Manager but I'm pretty sure that doesn't count as serious activity.
As I've nothing interesting to say I will ask for recommendations for new games on my PC. New to me that is, not necessarily brand new as my laptops video card isn't the best. I'm pretty much up for anything although something which takes a bit of thinking rather then something that's pure reflexes is probably more my street. Any recommendations for a mouse/controller as most games don't work too well with the laptop mousepad.
