So in 1 months time I turn 30. I should probably get drunk to celebrate the fact. Any ideas?
In other news I am currently working at my local down on the coast. 40 hours plus a week in a pub is very tiring. It also means I have to work weekends so my drinking now gets done on Mondays and Tuesdays.
Not much else is going on, I haven't had time now that I am back working.

So last weekend.
Electrelane were incredible, so tight and intense.
So good to have them back as it seems like most of my favourite bands have split up. This apparently happens to you when you get older but I don't like it. Now I need Sleater-Kinney to end their hiatus and I will be very happy.
Then it was my end of year club night. I love club nights where you are constantly bumping into friends you haven't seen yet. This was exactly like that. I get very drunk. When you work in a place your drinks get very strong when you are there on a night out. Somehow I didn't feel too horrible the next day although I did sleep much of it.
The returning Kai didn't complain about the sleeping part too much. Friday was a lazy day with lots of cuddles.
Saturday my big sister got married. The service was short and fun. I especially liked the short part. My sister looked gorgeous. Then everybody got good and drunk. There was no drama that I saw either which is always good, sometimes it only takes one person to spoil a wedding but I don't think anyone did anything stupid at all.
Good times.
There may be photos later.

So that it isn't a month between blogs here's a new one.
Busy weekend ahead. Out tonight to see Electrelane and then on to my uni's graduation club night. The club night will be rubbish but most of my friends from uni will be there so I will have fun despite the shit music.
Then, early on Friday, Kai gets home. Wooo. Saturday is my big sister's wedding day. There may be pictures of me in a suit at some point.

I have no motivation. The weather isn't helping.
Give me ideas for fun things to do that don't rely on the weather being dry to be fun. Preferably they should involve both leaving the house and being free.

Saturday 10th September Bristol City v Brighton & Hove Albion.
Plans are afoot.
Not so subtle hint - me and Kai will need somewhere to stay in Bristol that night.
Hint hint.

So Kai has just flown back to the US for 6 weeks. I don't think either of us has been particularly good to live with over the last few months. I've been stressed over money and she has been stressed over her course. Between us we've managed to do quite a bit of shouting and strop throwing. However I have more or less sorted out my money issues thanks to my parents being incredible and Kai has finished studying for a few months so I'm gutted she has left as it would be nice to spend some time together where we don't have to worry about too much. Summer alone doesn't really sound like a lot of fun to me.
As mentioned before my parents are helping massively with money but I still seriously need to find a job. I hate borrowing money from anyone so it is pissing me off that I can't stand on my own 2 feet at the moment. Tomorrow is going to be a day of walking around pubs and seeing if there is any work available. I love working in a bar at the moment and I really don't want to make a commitment to a career that I am not sure I truly want to do for any significant length of time. Hopefully I can find some casual bar work (nice, under the counter payments and everything) that will keep me going whilst I figure out my long term plan.
In the meantime I may actually bother to be properly active on here as I wont be doing too much else. Yay!

Everything is fucked again. I am apparently no good at charity fundraising. I'm not surprised really as it is basically selling and I have an sever hatred for sales people.
Unfortunately now I have no idea how I am going to pay the rent for the summer. Once term starts and the SU is back open come the fall I am fine as I love working there and have no qualms about going back even though I am no longer a student. It's just the next two to three months.
Unfortunately, lovely as our landlords are, I don't think they will accept no rent for the next few months. Arse.
Edit: I have apparently been granted a reprieve. Not sure how long for but I am currently still employed. For the moment at least.
Second edit: No job. Boo.

I have a job! It's only a temporary, telephone fundraiser position but it will get the rent paid whilst longer term plans come to fruition. Also it is only half an hours walk from home, fairly flexible and will mean finishing no later then 8.30 and starting no later earlier then 1. Those are pretty much my dream hours
Edited to add that I am now going to watch the Battle of Britain to clebrate.
SILENCE! IN POLISH!
