Today I start the fightback against the arch blogpire AesirR. All of my blogs ahve been really short of late but stuff has been happening. Much of it stressful but nearly all of it good. Sometimes you just need to put in an awful lot of effort to get get to the really good stuff.

So things then. If you've been paying attention (wake up at the back) you'll have noticed that I took last wek off in order to get my last essay done for my course. I'd been stressing about it quite a lot and there was no way with the way work was going that i was going to be able to do it in the evening so a week off was needed. The week was havoc, I did lots of reading but really struggled to get anything down on paper. I wasn't helped by UEFAs malicious decision to schedule the start of the a major football tournamount for the same week the bastards.

It got to Saturday and I was strating to go into panic mode as it was due on Monday and I only had about half of it together. Unfortunately that night was the football clubs end of year awards bash which I really had to go to. I threw a pathectic hissy fit at my Dad (sorry Dad blush ) about not being able to leave the house ever again but in the end went down there for what was meant to be just acouple of drinks. It turned out to be the best thing I could have done. I drank far too much, was dragged out of the pub at closing and even managed to play football on Sunday morning. The lads in my football team are the bollocks.

After that all stress was gone and the essay was easy. I really am the number 1 for winding me up. Such an idiot.

Anyway I got the presentation done during Monday day time and headed up to college for the evening. Got to college with my memory stick and none of it would load. Apparently Open Office, which I'd newly downloaded onto my laptop has different documenrt default settings to Microsoft office and they don't recognise each other. Brilliant. So now I'm heading back to college on Saturday with everything in the right format. I'm not too bothered about that as it's given me the chance to iron out some small errors. biggrin

The presentation is bound to go well as it starts with this clip

After that how can it go wrong?

So yeah Saturday has sort of put an end to my plans to get completely wasted at the Brighton Small Mercies show tomorrow night. I will still have a damn good time though. Then I will get completely wasted on Saturday with the people from college. Of that there is no doubt.

My parents are away from Saturday, of to Scotland for a week. My healthy balanced on my own diet eating only sausages and pizzas on alternate night will be in effect from Saturday night biggrin

Well done, usually stressing in the last thing you should be doing before handing in anything educational, it does bugger all good. I think the exams went alright, but it will be at least a year round before I try my hand at getting into University as I have to do my Lit course first to get the grades ^_^

Ah Van Frysing we meet again!

Glad you managed to get it sorted though mate, a good destressing session is usually the ticket.

It's tru though that folk really don't appreciate hard work, well not all, there are the gems that make it worthwhile.

I know what you mean about the whole getting stressed putting a dampened on your writing essay abilities, I had my last exam yesterday and on Wed I realised that I hadn't done a single past exam paper on it because I'd been so worried about the first paper. Anyway I get home and start cramming and then I have my tea and watch tv and have a brilliant laugh with some people and all my worries and cares buggered off and the next day I felt happy and content that my exam went well! Weird, but I too am my own worst enemy!

So which books did you buy to celebrate a summer of freedom?

Not got anywhere yet for Brighton. On Kelly's advice we are waiting until the last minute when hopefully we'll be able to find somewhere for just the one night rather than being knocked back with everywhere demanding we book two. whatever

Enjoy the gig, and good luck tomorrow buddy.
