I have returned.

And I'm stuck at work with the sun beating down outside. Bastard.

Never mind as I had an incredible week and I'm still really chilled out. Thanks to Ortus and Angel_Ree for putting me up on Sunday and Monday nights.

I have spent an awful lot of time on trains this week and the only time it went wrong is when I decided to be a complete idiot and get on the wrong train in Hull. Britains railways - not too bad shock.

The Pennines are stupidly beautiful. So beautiful I think they might be cheating somehow.

Sheffield is still my favourite city in the world. I'm not sure how they can still be building it though, they should all calm down a bit more. The same goes for Leeds.

Manchester cabbies are rubbish. How the one we got to the restaurant didn't know where the biggest restaurant on Oxford Road was is beyond me. In fact I'm not sure he'd have got to Oxford Road without directions. Oxford Road was brilliant though. So many pubs in such a small space. Thanks to Ortus and Mistress_Paine for an wicked night out, the bacon sarnie in the morning were equally brilliant.

Bridling isn't as bad as Angel_Ree makes out and in the sunshine it's actually quite pretty. Sitting on the beach (with the sand cock) was brilliant.

Pub food is essential to the survival of the country and is generally a lot better then it used to be. Perhaps I shouldn't live on chips though.

I don't get people who don't dance at weddings. Are people really bothered about how they look at these occasions? Dance like a fool and be damned is what I say. Bradford does have an incredible metal club though - man in a cape and a stetson. I salute you.

Now I need another holiday to get over this one. biggrin

Yeah, it didn't turn out too bad after all did it smile I think looking through my photos when I was choosing which ones to put up probably brightened my mood a bit. And yes, that certainly was mother-fudging caramel shortbread on top of the cake!!! I mean, wow.. cake.. on top of cake.. absolute genius! biggrin

Sounds like you had a pretty good trip. Oh.. and dancing at weddings is I agree a must! In fact.. dancing anywhere is a must!

Ha! yeah you can't take it with you I guess. Fuck it, I can always earn more money, and I'll never regret going on a road trip, so bollocks to worrying.

Yay for saving bugs!

This is a generalization in and of itself, but I hate almost all generalizations. They are my most hated of things. I think generalizations more problems then I can count, because after all, if we didn't have generalizations, would we have racism, sexism and bigotry in general?

I think not!

I have never understood why people have such a problem seeing that most things come shades of gray. In my experience, things are never black and white and people aren't as predicable as we assume.
