Born on this day

14 May 1928 - 9 October 1967
Ernesto "Che" Guevara, commonly known as Che Guevara, El Che, or simply Che, was an Argentine Marxist revolutionary, politician, author, military theorist, physician, and guerrilla leader. His stylized image also later became a countercultural symbol worldwide. Even forty years after his death, Che's life and work remain controversial. Some view Che Guevara as a hero,Nelson Mandela referred to him as "an inspiration for every human being who loves freedom" while Jean-Paul Sartre described him as "not only an intellectual but also the most complete human being of our age. Guevara remains a beloved national hero to many in Cuba, where school children begin each morning by pledging "We will be like Che."
Conversely, others view him as a spokesman for a failed ideology and as a ruthless executioner. Johann Hari, for example, writes that "Che Guevara is not a free-floating icon of rebellion. He was an actual person who supported an actual system of tyranny.
Ironically, a monochrome graphic of Alberto Korda's photograph has become one of the World's most universally merchandized images and can now be seen on an endless array of items, including t-shirts, hats, posters, tattoos, and even bikinis. Yet, Guevara also remains an iconic figure both in specifically political contexts and as a wide-ranging popular icon of youthful rebellion
side note depending on when you meet me in life I've been told I resemble either Che or Chino

Happy Birthday Ian Astbury

14 May 1962 - Present
One of the more eccentric lead singers in business and front man for one of my favorite bands The Cult, he got extra cool points when I saw recordings of his performances in full on ceremonial indian garb dancing around and singing. Something I never really saw as everybody usually dresses pretty much like anybody else. He's one of those people I say that "shaped and molded" me into who I am
I present with their most successful song, when I hear the opening guitar rift it reminds me of such fun shit in my younger days

Looks like no work for me as of yet, I guess that gives me more time to read up on history and ghostly encounters to teach you guys. Thanks for all the nice words you guys have given me, I haven't given up looking. I'm gonna have to cut my hair short make it look nice and neat that might be hurting me
