My goal for today...take a new profile picture because mine is hella old. Well that's my goal anyway, if my camera/hair/makeup work with me then it may be possible.

I'm so glad I have two days off work. I'm currently in the phone center tec support business. The lack of intelligence I hear on a daily basis really makes me lose faith in humanity more and more.

I did get a day off to attend the roller derby clinic I had mention in my last entry. They basically teach you how to skate. I know the basics of skating obviously, but I have no idea how to stop properly or fall. I suppose I will learn this. This will be the first sport I've attempted in my life. Well except for taking dance lessons. I've never been on a team per say though so I'm excited to see how that is. I may have a friend to go with me too so that's always fun

I'm currently listening to this song because I happened to click the link on YouTube's main page...



It's so catchy and colorful. I keep clicking more links. I have no idea what they're saying or how many members this group even has, but my senses like it.

In other music news the gods that are Zeppelin were given the Kennedy Center Honors this year. I missed the special, but thank goodness things like Youtube exist. I love that Jack Black got to introduce them. Fucking fantastic. There were some awesome tributes done, especially Heart covering Stairway to Heaven. Loved it. I think I need to do a Zep-a-thon.



I also slightly hate Obama for getting to be in the same room as the Zep, but I digress.

I did some rearranging in my apartment. The clutter was driving me crazy. As I went through things I remembered how much art I have that is just tucked away. I really need to get frames for some of this stuff. I hate just putting it back in a portfolio.



I also found this drawing that was done for me by an artist friend. He had done a piece on wood for me before for a contest I won. I honestly didn't realize I had this. He sent me the sketches that went with the finished piece too. I really need to keep this out.



I also finally have my typewriters out for display again. The Underwood is just really heavy and it's hard to find a spot for it. I have no idea how people actually used them back in the day haha. The other one is a German typewriter that belonged to my grandfathers sister. The case has her name on it still and it has German letter keys. I love it. I love any antiques really. I shall have a fantastic collection someday. So far it consists of the typewriters, a dry sink from my grandparents, a singer sewing machine that belonged to my great grandmother, and a bunch of smaller things. I suppose maybe those butterflies count too. They were given to me by my grandparents neighbors. They travel the world collecting and mounting them. The one is butterfly is from 1964. I'm so glad I finally got it hung up. The lovely lady is also my grandmother

Hello loves

I hope everyone had an amazing Christmas, or whatever holiday you choose to celebrate. I had the best one I've had in a long time. Not just because I got awesome gifts (which, don't get me wrong I definitely did ), but I was also surrounded by amazing people. It was nice to spend time with my family, and with my new second family. Got to meet a few more members of my loves family. It was good times. Had mulled wine for the first time made by my boyfriends sister. It was damn delicious to say the least. Ok now onto the goodies.

I finally got all my roller derby gear!! My boyfriend and his mom went together and got me an awesome set with skates and all the padding. These are my blue and black skates with my new sloth friend.



Here I am modeling. Gotta get used to all that padding for real haha.



There is a roller derby clinic later in January that I plan on attending. Wish me luck. Also if anyone has any roller derby name suggestions feel free

I'm big into cupcakes and I got this cute little dish to display them when I make fancy ones...



This is one of my favorite gifts by far. My sister made it for me and wrote me a lovely note on that back that made me cry when I read it. It's a quote from Brave, and it very much suits me. I couldn't wait to hang it up.



I also got a bunch of other awesome things. My sister's boyfriend got me the True Blood cookbook and I seriously can't wait to use it. I'm thinking strawberry pie may be the first thing I make. That or any of the mixed drinks they have in it. I just need to have a True Blood party.

Like I said, not only awesome stuff, but awesome people. I hope everyone had as much fun as I did over the holidays. I work tomorrow, but I'm hoping to get out early to get a kiss at midnight Wish me luck. If you have someone to kiss then have fun. It's been an insane amount of time since I've had a set on the front page. This needs to be remedied. I'd love to just have one more kickass set someday. Anyone have any suggestions? Feel free to let me know. In the mean time I'm off to bed. Lots to do in the AM.




Night all

Wow it's really been almost a full year to the date since I've updated anything. It's amazing what can change in such a short amount of time.

It's a stark contrast to the last blog. I was obviously very excited about my recent wedding and shared tons of pictures. Unfortunately (or really not that unfortunately) that joyfulness fizzled out shortly after. I found myself pretty lost for a while wondering if I had made the right choice. After much debate, counseling, and my share of tears I decided that parting ways would be better for everyone. I spent a lot of time worrying about how I had ruined someones life and hurt a lot of people. Then I realized that this marriage wasn't for anyone, but the two people involved. And if we weren't happy then what was the point? I did what I had to, and it was the right choice.

On a much more positive note I've been able to explore a love that I realized I had been pining over for what seemed like forever. A very good friend of mine and I realized we had huge (I mean HUGE) feelings for each other. And it's been pleasant sailing ever since

Well I did actually lose my job for a few months shortly after moving into my own place, but seriously I digress. I've got a new job and I'm planning on going back to school hopefully. It's amazing how one person can make you feel like the worst human being and another that's right in front of you can lift you up to amazing heights. So despite any "bad luck" per say, I feel very very lucky to get a chance at love again


Onto other things. Holy shit I want to change my profile pictures. It's ridiculously old. I have so much more hair now lol. Like this...



I'll need to take a better one in the next few days and change it, because it's out with the old and in with the new!! Hell I may even shoot a new set if any opportunities come up. It'd be nice to have something NOT from 2005 on my page haha.

Since I started a new job I'm pretty much just paying bills and that's it, so I thought maybe I'd see if I could sell them off for some money for the holidays. I hate when I want to update, but I never know where to start it.

It's been an exciting past couple of months. Finally had the wedding in October and it was the most magical day of my life. Everything went PERFECTLY! Even if it was the only day in October that it decided to snow three inches But it didn't matter. The wedding was gorgeous, our friends were looking hot in their dresses and kilts, and I married my best friend. Who could ask for more?? I've share a few photos under the spoiler. The first ones my favorite. I call it my "Moulin Rouge" moment <3

I started a profile on a recently discovered site. Although I'm known as "Maharet" on there. It's a social network of sorts. Only you mostly talk to girls and have them send you naughty photos/videos haha. Seems pretty cool so far. Got to know a few people already and it seems pretty neat. So what's new SG land? It seems I've had a lot of new things to share as of late.

I got myself a new car a few weeks ago. LOVE IT!! Everything works and it's pretty blue as well. I'm also enjoying driving a 5 speed again. I missed it.

Fucking love Gaga. I watched her HBO concert special and just about died. Her performance is just amazing in my opinion.

Speaking of excellent performances. The Decemberists were fucking awesome as well. They put on a hell of a show. I also had a kickass trip to Pittsburgh with some cool kids. Stopped in and had dinner at the Church Brew Works. If you're going to Pittsburgh soon, I highly recommend this place. Atmosphere is wicked cool and the beer is phenomenal. Seriously it's awesome inside.



I got a new tattoo a few weeks ago. A little pumpkin. My dad's nickname for me is pumpkin head. Hence the position of the tattoo.



Got a new bathing suit as a present from my friend Ethan. I call it my Where's Waldo suit



I found the most kickass duct tape today at the craft store. I couldn't leave without it.



I was actually at the store for paper though. I'm trying my hand at paper cutting. Or Scherenschnitte if you like to use fancy words. I tried my first one this evening. It's just one sheet of paper btw. Not to shabby for my first attempt.



I'm going to try making more. Might start and Etsy shop if I can make some cool ones. I think I might try a Led Zeppelin one tomorrow.

I haven't updated since my birthday. I'm awesome I know. Life's been pretty crazy the last few months I suppose. Celebrating birthdays, St. Patrick's Day, and going to a bunch of appointments for wedding related things. There's even more planned for this month, but I'm not complaining

We finally have a location for the actual wedding ceremony which is a HUGE weight lifted. We're getting married at a local theater. This one in fact...



How kickass is that!! It was built in 1906 and it is beautiful inside. I'm so excited! My dress is being custom made as I type I suppose. Probably another month or two until it's finished. I'm crossing my fingers that it turns out exactly how I want it.

Probably going to go visit my sister at college in a few weeks. Hellz yeah hot damn.

Also get to see these guys in a few weeks as well...



I <3 the Decemberists. Should be a hell of a show, and an awesome trip with some cool people.

Alright well I'm off. Just finished dinner and gonna relax now. Had some yummy Italian sausage and spinach stew. Probably gonna make apple pies tomorrow. I'm in a cooking mood cuz I got new stuff from Pampered Chef. I'm such a dork

So it's is 12:01 in the a.m. and it is officially my 26th birthday. It's kinda awesome because 26 is one of my favorite numbers. It's also even funnier because my other favorite number is 11. So I'm 26 in 2011. Should be a good year eh?? Although I really don't feel like I'm 26. Well at least I definitely don't act it haha.

Hell my first set went up when I was just 20. I can't believe it's been that long. My looks have changed a little, but my ass still looks great in this picture...



My hairs changed colors a few times as well...

But a lot more has changed about me than just my hair length or color. I definitely know I'm a different person now than I was when I was in bed holding onto a bunch of Chucks. I've changed and it's definitely for the better.

Life going good. Got a great group of friends, and a wonderful fiance. I can't believe I'm getting married Almost feels too grown up for me. I'm looking forward to it like crazy though. I can't wait to see my man in a kilt and walk down the aisle in my blue wedding dress. It's gonna be the best day ever hands down.

I'm starting a Warhammer 40K army. My boy and my friend Dave came up with a badass army list for me. I'm playing chaos daemons. Slaanesh and Tzeentch to be exact. Got my first group started the other day. Some sexy Daemonettes.



Now I just have to get my ass moving and finish painting them haha. And buy the rest of the army. I wish they weren't so damn expensive. Oh well, one group at a time I suppose.
