Hey...

I finally got my site up and running....it's been a fairly long time coming but these things are bloody time consuming. ..and the sucky part is I don't even like the stuff in my gallery thingy anymore. But I'm gonna just focus on getting everything up and running and then I can start refining the portfolio....

Also, I've been looking through my computer and I have such a load of photos on here, it was kinda fun remembering loadsa stuff I'd forgotten, I love photos so much for that nostalgia...

In other news - I've moved. Again. But just across the road/river. I'm now maybe 3-5mins closer to town depending on how the traffic lights go. Sooper. And the flat is soo sexy I can't believe we found it. Some pics....this really is the life...

Also I'm taking a break from college! I'm gonna be starting the nightshift on directory enquirys next week and I'm gonna work my ass off for a few years and then go travelling with my lady. We plan on starting in America maybe...work our way around for a few years and then see where else tickles our fancy...

So that's my new plan I suppose. Work. Take photos. Travel....perfect.

Also. I got rather drunk last night. And this is news because I haven't consumed enough booze to induce drunkenness in some time. It was great. Had such a laugh. And it was so outta the blue too. Aimee (flat mate) went for a few drinks with a couple of my former collegues and then landed back home with 'em...and some drinks....

Look what I bought today!



I'm so excited! I've wanted an old typewriter for ages and I just spotted it in the window of a charity shop on my way to view a new flat! I bought it there and then. It was €25 - I probably could have gotten one a teeny bit cheaper but I so don't give a flyin' fuck cause for one I get to take it home with me straight away and two - it was a charity shop - that's my good deed for the day done! Yay!

...of course I did have to lug it's heavy (but undeniably sexy) ass all the way to the viewing cause I didn't think to wait til I was coming back to buy it. Oh well. And the flat was a kip. But I didn't care cause I had my lil typey...

Oh yeah. We're moving. Sick of the place. And the housemate - it's just weird being a couple living with another person. We're too used to our own space. Yes we are fond of ourselves. So yeah, again - the flat is up for rent....we have to find people to move in by 5th May or that way so if any of ye are either in Cork are are looking to move to Cork there's an add on Gumtree if ye wanna take a look...and one went up on Daft too with more pics...

Anywho...typewriter. I love it. It's even taking away some of the sting caused by all my lost polaroid film...

*sigh*

Tonight was officially my first night on the floor at work. Well...we have a week of "incubation" as they're calling it but so far so good. I didn't get any drunk dubs callin' me a dirty culshie and wasting all they're money asking me irrelevant questions tonight. Which helped. Eejit.

Had a decent long weekend too! I thought I would be working on Friday but turned out we were off - so I went to see Blood Brothers at the opera house. Me and Jen got her mum tickets for her bday but Jen couldn't go cause work wouldn't give her the night off cause she's covering other people who are on holidays and the whole place would have to shut down if she didn't work cause no one else is trained in whatever mindbogglingly irritating thing it is she's doing or some crazy shit like that...so her sis came...and it was fuckin' awesome!

...I hadn't a clue what to expect or what the story was or anything but it was so entertaining. Really funny, but sad too. Millions of fun.

Apart from that I'm having a Jeff Buckley night. Haven't really listened to Jeff in ages...

I am heartbroken!

Today I realised that the 100euro worth of Polaroid Film that I bought on eBay last month will more than likey never find it's way to me cause it looks like the seller is a scamster and has ran off with all my hard earned money and left me empty handed. Cunt. I know that's a harsh word but that's how hurt I am! I'm literally heartbroken. And now it'll cost me all sorts of crazy amounts of money (that I don't have) to buy up some film seems it's outta production.

It really makes me sick. Bastard. Sorry I'm just so raw about this, I feel like such a sucka for falling for it but he had excellent feedback up until recently so it looks like I just missed the boat on the good law abiding days of this so and so! Fuck anyways, it's just my luck!

I passed my textiles assesment! Horray! Happy happy joy joy!!


...but I'm trying not to get too excited cause I don't know if I passed my major study yet and I prob won't find out 'til my tutorial on Friday - which is worrying too cause I'm the very last tutorial - and I'm not placed alphabetically like everyone else....it's a bit weird, and probably a bad sign so I'm trying to mentally prepare for a fail and a potential total uproot in my life - I'll have to leave college, get a full time job etc etc...be depressed for gawd knows how long. Oh pooh it's gonna be bad...

Top gig amazing night, even the support were good craic!

Mind you our trip did get off to a shaky start - we couldn't get our flight cause they wouldn' let me on the plane basically. My ID was outta date (something I didn't notice 'til we were checking in!) so that meant no go on the plane. I was gutted...to say the least. I think I was more pissed off at myself for being such a dunce.

But all was fine soon enough. We borrowed a few bob so we could get the train instead (which is a shockin price I might add...Bastards.) Anywho it was all sooper after that, the hotel was grand, massive room, luxurious bed. Mmmm nice bed...*ahem* yeah so anyways we even did some shopping. Mostly musical - records, CD's, some DVD's, posters, badges etc etc...and we had lunch at the Hard Rock Café...what a rob. But it all made a great couple of days. Jen has officially announced it as her "best bday bash...EVER" Horray! Success!

So yeah, I start my new job tomorrow night. I'm not exactly looking forward to it as I have assesments next week too so college is a bit hectic and perhaps the timing isn't exactly perfect with the jobage but what can ya do eh?
