The very few of you that read this may not know that in addition to being a drunk, I'm also a geek.

I just had a drunk conversation with a good friend from grade school. He mentioned something that I had bragged about to some of my college friends. In grade school, I was a trend setter. I don't know how it happened either. I had invented this things called "talking games" for my kid brothers. Basically they were RPG's but without any set rule system. The rules where my whim. After doing this with my two geeky friends for a few weeks eventually all of the other geeks started doing it. Then everyone. Then the cooler kids started making their own "talking games" based on star wars or just completely ripped off from me.

I find it a laugh riot that in grade school somehow I made RPG's cool. That's an achievement of a life time. Admittedly WOW is cool now.

That is how our conversation started. What in God's name is up with people mocking geeks for not playing WoW? It hasn't happened to me, but my friend from grade school said it happened to him. We did that sort of shit (and in the rare instance made it cool) before it was cool. Grins. That was the basis of the conversation.

I love drunk dialing random people.

Howdy folks. I'm getting drunk with my bother. This makes it an even four. i've gotten drunk with my kid brother, my father, and my mother. For the first time I'm getting drunk with my other brother. This is amazing. It's the trifecta. All my familly members. The keyboard blows. I'm glad that the whole conversation works out. I'm really happy to have drank with all of my familly members one on one.

I am sobering. That is what happens when you have a snowball fight and walk home in freezing rain. It wasn't quite freezing. The ground was slush, not ice, but it was close.

My day was pretty alright. I played cards, then played cards somewhere else, they got drunk, then played more cards, then the above.

I won more than I lost. I drank what I like. There were good friends there. One of them cooked.

What more could you ask for?

Nothing new except I started going to a monthly poker night. I haven't played poker in way too long. Made a decent showing for myself. There were eight guys and they formated it as two five dollar tournaments and a fifteen. First and second got paid. Unless you got first or second in both of the small ones the only way to come out alright was the bigger one. I got second in the large one. Paid for my buy ins and my pizza money with enough money left over to pay for pizza next time. Also, these guys didn't show me up and that's what really counts.

Finals are done as I may have mentioned. I only have two classes left and am graduating in the spring. I've decided to take this quarter off to look for a job. I might pop up in here now and again.

Hey folks.

I know that there are only two people as of yet that might be reading this. Sorry to bother you. I'm watching Dexter right now. I was inspired by the horror group. Not inspired to watch this particular show, but inspired to find the most recent episode (my normal spot couldn't find it.) It's a pretty great show. I feel like everyone can understand to a certain extent the difficulties of the main character. Everyone is at least a little bit of a sociopath and never truly understands anyone else.

You guys are pretty great.

I recommend this show.

Howdy folks.

My finals are done. I'm celebrating. I'm going through my phone book calling all the people I haven't called often enough. I'm pretty pleased with it. Finals went well. People called me back that I wasn't even sure would answer.

I hope that everyone is doing alright.

I'm taking the next quarter off.

Need to look for a job.

It's the middle of finals week. Two down, one to go. The next one isn't till Thursday so tonight I'll celebrate. Boilermakers till I crash.

I got two songs stuck in my head this morning due to a random play list choice. Neither "People are strange" nor Johnny Cash's "Hurt" put me in the most upbeat mood before the Exams, but the songs are good and the exams went alright.

Perhaps I'll pass.

I did get drunk.

People did respond.

Preferably with subject matter.

Unfortunately, all I did was win a game of settlers of catan and play soul caliber 2.

Howdy. Unless there is any indication that someone is reading this it is probably a solo post (that is unless I get drunk and decided to post again anyway.) I should be studying or some such probably anyway.

Nice to meet you if you're reading this. I'm John. I'm a lapsed gamer(card, board, and roleplaying games) and nowadays mostly just an affable drunk. Basically I'm Bukowski, but without the ability, the arrogance, the hardship, and the women.

I'd say something interesting, but ever since the Polish leadership changed and there are no longer two identical twins in power, I've mostly just been stealing my good small talk from the SG Geek News.
