So what is going on in my life you ask?
Well... im having a blast at my job, everyone i work with is fucking awesome, my boss is fucking awesome, and im getting paid for designing - what more could i want? My oldest daughter graduated from kindergarten a few weeks ago and is now spending the summer weekdays at the same daycare that my little one goes to. I feel bad that they are there, but he what else am i supposed to do? I have one of my photos in a art show coming up with opens on July 2 (which happens to be my 28th birthday!!) so im very excited about that!

Does anyone like desktops? I adore them... everyday when i head into work my mac has some new ones up on my screens picked from a folder that i have on there which is extremely full of a lovely variety of desktops. I thought i would share some because i'm weird like that - and i figure chances are you guys are just as weird and might enjoy them =)

This site fucking rules... it goes off the idea that since designers and computer-related professionals have to be infront of a computer all week that they might enjoy having a outdoors themed desktop. (I have noticed that all the designers and creative people i have come into contact with like to do the same kind of things on the weekend: i.e. camping, hiking, boating, tubing, swimming rafting, etc. and most people ive come into contact with that arent of that profession dont really do that kind of stuff.... weird).... Anyway theres some awesome desktops here in their different series (they have one series put out each year).... check it out....

On a more stranger side... i get these lovely desktops from the great Rob Sheridan. If you dont know who Rob Sheridan is then ill tell you =) He is the designer/photographer/art director guy for Nine Inch Nails - and also does design stuff for some other people as you can find on his portfolio site. This guy has a pretty cool imagination and quite the artistic talent - his desktops are awesome....

Zing!

There is much to be said, and I dont think I will have time to say it all....

I have been busy.... very very busy. I wake up at 5:45 and work my ass of all day. All i want to do when i get home is eat, get lucky, and then go to sleep. A few weeks ago my Grandfather passed away... I handled it well until the funeral when it all sank in. I was called a few minutes after he passed and I made it to the nursing home before they took his body, so I feel that I truly got to say goodbye.... but that doesnt make it easier. My Grandmother, my poor Grandmother... she is heartbroken. Grandpa was 90 years old, and they had been married for over 60 years.... that is really & truly spending your life with someone. At the funeral... after saying our final goodbyes before we closed the casket and the church mass would begin... she cried for a while with my uncles and my mom hugging her. I was behind her and hadnt quite lost it... yet. She turned as they closed the casket and looked in a daze... never have I seen my Grandmother with that look on her face... then... she vomited. All over the floor... all over her... My little 84 year old grandmother... It was just too much for her. I knew at that point this funeral was going to be hard. All of my relatives were there... I have a very tight knit family and extended family... and I was the first one to go up at read... I did well... went fast... and glanced at my grandma as I walked back to my seat... she didnt smile, but I could see a slight smile in her eyes.

The next day, after the funeral, my sister in Dallas had her baby girl. With death comes life... amusing how life gives and takes from us everyday. I will head up to Dallas this weekend to hold my neice. I am more exited then anyone could realize.... maybe its because I am wanting another child... yup its getting to be that time. But dont worry you wont have to endure pregnant belly pictures of me anytime soon... No one has stepped up to that plate... yet.

I am disappointed in you Texas. Well, I voted in the primary and the caucas.... you cannot blame me.

After the mess of people I saw saying they couldnt figure out the voting machine, and the people i overheard thinking that Obama is a foreigner, and he will cause the wrong people to "rise".... I now realise the future of our country is in the hands of the wrong people... the ones with no fucking brain.

I got a new job at a local design agency. I am uber excited as this is the company that was my top choice after I had a few interviews last week. I am so excited!!! Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!! Of course I can only wear blue jeans 2 days out of the week ! A business casual dress code is somewhat scary! I guess I will get used to it!

On the bad side of things... I got my laptop back via fedex today from repairdom. They needed to replace my motherboard. Ok. yup not a problem with me... until... I try to turn the damn thing on and my monitor stays black... no matter what i do. bastards! what the fuck did they do!!!!!!!!! ah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! fuckers!!! I just want my computer back! So now i am once again on online chat with Compaq's repair losers....

My NiteRunner is out of town. The advertising company he works for is doing some sort of a retreat at a ranch in Bandera, Tx. They are supposed to do some sort of activities to help with whatever and then at night there is a bar there that they apparently all go drink at. Needless to say I am not doing well. I have a hard time trusting men... every man that i have known in my adult life has cheated at one point or another. Including my ex-husband who cheating on my quite a few times. NiteRunner is ofcourse the exception... he has never cheated on anyone... (plus he is a college graduate and extremely intelligent and talented! ) but what worries me is I was only the second person he had ever slept with (the time before was only once and in high school) and I am his first real girlfriend... so i have to be kidding myself to think that he would end up with me... right? What guy ends up with their first real girlfriend? He works in a company of women... i think its like 4 guys and like 30 women... yup. He claims they dont want him because he is young (22) and they are all older... needless to say i explained to him that older women (shockingly) do like younger guys! zing!

Well its 10pm now... im guess they are probably drinking at the bar. He didnt want to go at all... and he told me he wasnt going to do the bar thing... but i havent talked to him since 9:30 AM .... so i guess who knows whats going on. He said he would call me back and i guess i dont want to bother him.

I will probably delete this blog later... enough of my self-pity. why cant i trust men????

I am so sad over this...

I was very fond of many of his movies and was truly looking forward to his betrayal of the Joker. He was a very talented actor and i feel very bad for his precious little girl. With my close ties to suicide and the aftermath it leaves behind i pray that the rumors are not true and this is an accident. May he rest in peace and i wish the best for the family that is left behind.
