Almost halfway through another semester and my first real academic milestone is finally in sight! I can't believe that it's taken me this long, but for the first time in my life, I feel like I've finally found something that I enjoy doing and am pretty good at.

Darn, no rapture today. I guess we'll all just need to try and get through the next day...

This great "infographic" comes from the folks over at GOOD.

It's relevant to my interests as I've finally gone back to school this Spring and am taking cartography and GIS courses. For one of my final projects I'm producing a seismic hazard map of the area. This graphic is a great source of inspiration for the Powerpoint presentation that I'll have to do.

I got fed up with the Gadsden flag and the asshole teabaggers who keep waving it around as if they were being tread upon. Last time I looked, the only person getting trod on was a MoveOn member getting attacked and trampled by a bunch of these crazy zealots. This country is so screwed. In honor of these creeps, I made them a new flag. I shall be wearing it as my profile image until after the elections are over (and even then I might roll it out special occasions):
