Right. So this is the detailed version of my blog post regarding the past days smile As detailed as possible considering my massive beer consumption biggrin

Last Wednesday I picked up Teeman from the train station. He's a crazy Australian guy who likes to go on his Heavy Metal Odysseys during the summer, traveling through Europe, sightseeing and going to metal festivals. Of course he had to go to my favorite metal festival: The Dong Open Air.

SPOILERS! (Click to view)
No. It's not funny. Really. Grow up. wink
Dong is the name of the German village where the festival takes place. It doesn't mean anything in German. At all.

He stayed at Viech's and my place for a few days before and after the festival. We watched lots of MacGyver. biggrin MacGyver rocks. So does Teeman.

Uhm. So Friday started out pretty damn good. I ditched my last French class ever (wheeeeeee!!!) and got my first beer around 10am smile We set up our tent at the Dong hill and were lucky enough to not camp next to noisy people.
Well, I didn't really see any bands but Dark Tranquility on Friday, which is okay, because I hung out with so many people.

I am thinking of canceling my facebook account (or rather my account on the German equivalent) because at least 50 people were like "Hey Felice!" without me ever having met them O_o Spooky! I'm telling you!

I think I constantly switched between German, English and French. Which is not really easy if you already had six beers. But apparently it worked out ok. Everyone seemed to get what I meant biggrin
Everything was bloody awesome smile

I made out with a cute chick and we got free beer from random people.

Saturday morning the Grailknights played. Gotta love em! One of the best shows of them I've ever seen. They're a bunch of super heroes who fight Dr Skull and Morph. Ooooh. And then there was also Urks the dragon!
At some point the entire fucking audience sat down (The band responded: "Now this is what it must feel like at Wacken with all you guys down there!") but still partied on! Ah… There is just not much I can say about that band other than: Lord Lightbringer, Sir Optimus Prime, MacDeath and Duke of Drumington are the fucking best! I cannot wait to see them a couple of times when they go on tour with Sabaton!

Uhm… Yes, I'm slightly lazy… then also, I can't quite come up with all the details of the nights.
But I hung out with a French band named Nohellia and thus spoke a lot of French which worked out surprisingly well (in general and then also because of my level of blood alcohol).
I didn't see too many bands, but I do remember hanging out til 4am with Sabaton, drinking, being invited to a "Let's-all-get-naked-and-run-through-the-hotel"-party! Their manager later told Viech that this is actually one of their favorite pastimes after shows. Right. I'll keep that in mind next time I go to a show.
I had a hell lot of fun. (No, I didn't go to that party. Mostly for logistical reasons. I had to get back to the Dong hill the next morning and be sober and alive to take down our tent.)

I am absolutely looking forward to Wacken! Hell yeah!
We're leaving to visit Myra in Hamburg for some Tiramisú next Tuesday to then go to Wacken…. I am excited!!! biggrin biggrin biggrin

I should post a new journal. But I really am quite lazy.

So.
Most important things that happened lately.
My little sister is back from Russia. Despite nuclear power plant explosion rumors in the area she lived (Pskov) she returned with two legs, two arms and two eyes etc.
Glad she's back, but I'm really worried about her as her bulimia has kicked back in and she's going through asthma like attacks (that have nothing to do with asthma though) and will be spending three days in the hospital next week so they can run checks.
I'm glad I live in Germany and that our health insurance pays for every fucking thing including psychotherapy etc.

I saw one of my favorite bands live with my sister last weekend. Van Canto. Teh awesomeness.

I spent a lot of time by the lake with Viech and my bff lately.
We have been living in this city for almost 3 years (and my bff even for longer) and we didn't find out about the six beautiful lakes only 25 minutes by bike from our apartment. love

I am working on my B.A. thesis. It'll be about Iced Earth's Glorious Burden --> Gettysburg smile
I'll have my B.A. degree this fall if things go the way I want. Keep your fingers crossed for me smile
