FearTheReaper If proper usage gets in the way, it may have to go - Elmore Leonard

Many people have wondered where I came up with the name FearTheReaper. Did I like the song? Was I trying to make a point?

No. It was a totally thoughtless selection. When I picked the name I was just signing on to the site to check it out and decide about writing here. I wasn't even thinking about the name. I just typed something in. No thought at all, like many of my articles.

I figured after I was on I could change my name...no such luck. Then I published an article or two and the name was with me forever.

Now you know the story of FearTheReaper.

You can't change your name? Are they afraid we'll forget you, and have to go through another six months of "how can this man be serious" hysteria?

Because he's the opposition manager and if I get him angry enough for him to turn round, I'll be able to look into his eyes and I WILL HAVE SEEN TRUE ANGER and be able to harness it. Or something.

Nah, I'm in the terraces anyway behind the goal, the Doncaster Road End. The ground still has standing,

And you know he will.

Still, it's a shame that his passing went, mostly, unnoticed and entirely unheralded. And, it's just a shame that we'll never know which ranting was the one that finally tipped the scale.

Yeah, Buddhist. It's one of only two religions (the other being Taoism, of course) that fits with the whole "atheist" thing.

I didn't end up in Omaha by choice, that's for sure. That's just where I got stuck while I finish off the last two years of my commitment to the government.

As for California, I was born and grew up in Pasadena. My dad still owns a house in Altadena. He wants to tour the country in his RV for retirement, so I'm kind of hoping I can live in his house while I go to school.

But I have no definite plans.
