Bring ONLY what you need...don't take everything or else you got loads of bags to check (and certain airlines are now charging for 1 checked bag a pop... )

Look at everything you have and think about it in someone else's shoes then take out all the stuff you knwo they wouldn't bring and you will probably be fine.

If you can buy it once you get there don't pack it.I've gone on a couple trips with only the clothes on my back. That's a little on the extreme side I know but it sure makes going through an airport a lot easier.
