I'm really glad that my mom and me and becoming friends again.

It took a lot. At first I was really put off by it because it took horrible news to finally get us to open up and start trying to love one another again, but now I think I'm thankful.

After it all, I really feel like no matter what I can call her which honestly means so much to me. I've spent years on this planet feeling so alone and helpless. I still feel lonely sometimes and still know that I can never go home again but at least now she's there to listen.

The other day she even told me that she loved me. Without hesitation, without me having to ask for it or say it first.
