Hey all! Yeah yeah, I know, I never update. Sue me!

Most of you don't know this, but my whole family is from Louisiana and Texas. My dad's entire family was living in New Orleans or the New Orleans area, and lost their homes. My aunt passed away at St. Rita's. They claim she passed away the day before the hurricane, but we think it's a load of bullshit. They didn't even contact anyone when they say it happened. I think they're trying to save their asses.

So anyway, Erin and I have been hard at work putting together a Hurricane Katrina benefit show. It's consumed all of our free time, but it's worth it. It's finally come together, and this is what we have so far:

Thursday, Oct. 6th @iMusicast
The Lovemakers
Flipsyde
Persephone's Bees
and one more TBA
Doors at 7:30, show at 8
Tickets are only $10 advance, and you can get them right now at iMusicast. If you wait to buy your tickets at the door, they'll be $12 (if there's any left!)

We're currently trying to get a bar going, and the more tickets you all buy ahead of time, the better our chance is of having a catering company help us out. So buy them tickets up quick!

I'd like to thank Tomahto for getting me in touch with the Lovemakers. They're awesome people and have been down to do the show since we mentioned it.

Erin's guitar has been found and it's in the custody of the Vancouver police! Wooooo! Now we just need someone in Vancouver to pick it up and either bring it back or mail it for us. I think I have a friend who's going up there in a few days, so we might possibly have it back in a week! YESSSSS! I love the Vancouver PD so much!!!!

So we found it on eBay with pictures and just knew it was her guitar. We contacted the police, and they bid on it, pretending to be a single mom, and won. We don't know many details after that, but they called and said they had it. The serial numbers match and everything! Now instead of a benefit show, we'll be having a celebration show! Party with us, bitches!

Erin was on tour in the Hot Toddies for a whole week. She called me yesterday morning to tell me that while they were on their way down, they stopped to have breakfast in Vancouver. While they were eating, someone broke into the car and stole the guitar I bought her for Christmas. It's really sad and really fucked up that people steal shit like that. It's her only electric guitar and she has a show this Friday at the Missouri Lounge in Berkeley. Sucks. I think we're gonna try to throw a benefit show to try to raise money for another one. It's bad enough that we're "starving artists", but when you steal from us, that's really really low. I'm requesting group membership to SGCanada West so I can post something about it, just in case someone knows something. Whoever stole the guitar, you fucking suck!
