~ I'm up in Maine for The Lobster Ride & Roll, yesterday. Lovely scenery, but 100 miles on a bike, in one day, may just be too long to be enjoyable. I did start late and there was a time limit, so I had to go fast, and one of the roads was excruciatingly horrible, so maybe the jury's still out...
~ The lobster roll at the end was good though, and we found a place in Camden that has $3 Sam drafts from 4-7 out on the deck, with a view of the harbor! Not too shabby!

Early dinner with my sister and her family. Then a five mile run, burping up pickle for 45 minutes. The things I do for my family...
So I'm on my bike and some guy drives by, and the passenger gives me the finger and yells, "queer," out the window... Huh? Not even from a pickup truck... Go figure...

~ 16,000 miles ridden on Sunday and $176,000 raised so far to Kick Cancer's Butt!
~ 16,000 miles, holy crap, that's a whole lot of intention put out there into the Universe!

~ 50 training miles and 3 hilly, painful, hours later: My reward, nice, aaaaah!
~ But that was way less painful than many weeks of chemo/radiation treatments...

Brutal test ride up Becket Rd. hill this evening, but the 20 yr old hardtail mountain bike is working just fine. With the fat, slick road tires it will be just the tool for 40 miles and 5 boros in NYC on Sunday!
I went on the local Tue night B ride this week, 35 mi. Kept right up with the group, passed some on the hills, pulled the pack for a while, then got dropped like a hot bag of cement at the begining of the 6 mile sprint back to the shop 
! I guess I need to work on my leg speed!! The important part though is that there were plenty of PBRs left when I got there!

~ I don't hear anything but static in that CNN/Zimmerman recording. How about you?
~ I'm sorry for the family's loss. The incident saddens me on several levels.
Oh, and on a personal note, all four wisdom teeth yanked out tomorrow. I bought extra,organic, on-sale chocolate milk for smoothies...
~ Lucky me (?), they only yanked the top two. And let me just add that all that yanking and cracking was not fun... And then there was the next one...
