~ Ramping up my training for a local triathalon in September: The Josh.
~ 30 mi bike ride followed by a 6.5 mi run - 96 deg, wind in my face, sweat in my eyes, up hill both ways, for three freakin' hours!

~~ I had the unexpected pleasure to meet zode today...
~ Got a ride home from the GF, and as we drove by the local good bar, I saw a rather large man, with a shaved head step into the bar. "Hmmm, that face looks familiar, and it would be the right context, I wonder, could that be... hmmmm..."
~ Got dropped off, ran up and got my red pirate ballcap, jumped in the car and raced down to the bar.
~ And there was the big man, sitting at the bar. So I walked up to him, and as I started to introduce myself, a wave of recognition came across his face, along with a big smile!
~ We had a very nice conversation, but because he was working and on the move, we didn't get to share share a beverage, how ironic!
~ If you see him in your travels, stop and say hello, he seems like a nice guy. And he's got a really nice apartment!
~ You're next D, maybe both of us will get to meet you!

~ Two years ago Grandpa-in-law - 9 weeks
~ Three members of a tall ship I used to sail on, in two years
It's breathtaking to me, and scary, that they could do nothing for these folks.
I feel helpless, I'm going to have to ride the ACS Bicycles Battling Cancer ride, at least I can get some money for the cause...
