The 1973 of course. The one from 1997 is an abomination. No style whatsoever. Turns one of the best thrillers (if not THE best) of the 20th century into a c-grade braindead action movie. The one from 1973 OTOH is made of 150% Pure Awesome, and like the book, it's so well made that you could believe it actually happened. Frederick Forsyth is awesome.

And yeah, hopefully LA. I'm getting laid off sometime next spring anyway, so with a bit of luck, hoping that my union doesn't screw up and leave me with no unemployment bennies for several months like they've been doing here lately, I should get a nice chunk of money each month that could be put away. I'm sure I could afford a week in LA atleast .

It's good to hear that your day to day life is pretty happy, root canal aside. The last piece of the puzzle for me is finding a suitable place to live. I have to leave where I am in about a month. My landlord has been trying to evict me for about 10 months. I've been unable to pay the exhorbitant rent due to my serious financial problems that are only now easing up.

The landlord-tenant laws here are very favorable to the tenant, thank goodness. Just like everything else in life, this had a beginning, and now it has an end. Once I get my housing squared away, I'll be pretty much okay.
